Multiple fire crews battle large barn fire in Daviess Co. over the weekend

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Firefighters from multiple departments had their hands full early Sunday morning, putting out a large barn fire in Washington Township. The Washington Township Fire Department said they were alerted to the fire from a 911 call just after 1 a.m. from a passerby driving on Interstate 69. Officials at the Washington Township Fire Department say they quickly called for mutual aid. Firefighters and tankers arrived from Plainville, Montgomery and Cannelburg.

Sen. Greg Goode victim of swatting incident Sunday evening

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - The Vigo County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating after a swatting email was sent to them around 5 p.m. Sunday, claiming harm had been done to people inside of a home in southeastern Vigo County. According to a press release from Vigo County Sheriff Derek Fell, Deputies arrived at that home and found out it belonged to Republican State Senator Greg Goode.

City of Vincennes hosting special 'Citywide Large Item Disposal Days'

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - The city of Vincennes is once again teaming up with Republic Services to give residents the opportunity to get rid of large, unwanted items. The 'Citywide Large Item Disposal Days' is a free event which will take place Saturday, November 1, 2025, as well as Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., at Republic Services, 2706 N. Second St., in Vincennes.
