Biogeography and hidden diversity in the coffee snake species complex Ninia atrata (Dipsadinae) from South America and the Lesser Antilles

Abstract We used a multilocus sequence molecular dataset, constructed using mitochondrial and nuclear DNA from South American populations of Ninia atrata (with its recently described synonyms), to examine its evolutionary history and evaluate the possible existence of cryptic lineages using Bayesian and maximum likelihood criteria. Phylogenetic inferences and species delimitation analyses indicated the existence of at least seven distinct lineages within the former N. atrata group.

If all goes well, he will win his 500th on Wednesday when the Yellowjackets play Bloomington in a San Andreas League game at Kessler Park. Southworth, 75, also collects antique bottles. Lots of them. While the former pastime is for enjoyment and exercise, the latter is an obsession.
