John Wright’s Biography

I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in journalism. I spent several years as a reporter and editor at mainstream daily newspapers, before joining the LGBTQ media in 2006. I served as senior editor of LGBTQ publications in Dallas and Houston. I also covered three sessions of the Texas Legislature for the Texas Observer and Texas Monthly. In 2019, I returned to Gainesville, and I now write for RawStory.com.
