Letter: Steve Kerr local and American hero
A letter to the editor from a writer who doesn’t understand Steve Kerr’s beliefs says Steve shouldn’t speak about world affairs. This writer thinks he knows more than Steve about Israel. Steve Kerr, a University of Arizona hero and a World, Olympic, and NBA champion, learned from Lute Olson about being a true leader of men.

Letter: Ice invasion avoidable?
Our Loyal friend in OV has found a new group to chastise, the citizens of Minneapolis. He believes that the killing of two people, one protesting peacefully and one in her car leaving the scene would not have been killed had they protested peacefully. Renee Good wasn't even protesting. She was leaving when a Ice agent decided it was her time to die. Alex Pretti is clearly seen videoing Ice agents, not any hostile act. He was aiding a woman the ICE officer just shoved to the ground.
Letter: I'll take a sloth any day
Our Loyal friend has found another lie to keep him up at night. He's complaining that people see that his Hero and the black hearted felon is in terrible shape, physically and mentally. So, he complains about Biden. Sure, Joe was slower in the last few years of his presidency, who wouldn't be? He was assailed by everything the GOP could throw at him. But all of us with any kind of conscience slept well at night.
Letter: Israel and Gaza
Someone who can look at what Israel is doing in Gaza and not see it as genocide is someone who doesn't want to admit the truth. Trying to somehow use the Korean war as a similar event is a leap unlike many others. Israel was attacked and have more than doled out their vengeance. They limit food and supplies meant for those in need by many aid organizations. They also have more settlements in the West Bank, where there should be no Israeli settlements.

Letter: Gaza starvation is Israel policy
I'm not sure where or how Mort Ganales came up with "Gaza starvation isn't part of Israel's strategy." If it's not, why is it happening, Mort? It is apparent that Israel wants the total destruction of Gaza and anyone that lives there. Yes, Israel was attacked but when is enough, enough? You can say Israel didn't plan on starving Gazans but their acts continually show that's exactly what the plan is.
Letter: Price of eggs, war in Ukraine, fixed Day One?
A LTE stating that fuel prices are down this year shows that the felon in charge is doing a good job. He and his ilk, like Loran, think that he's fulfilling campaign promises. Drill baby drill. Biden drilled more oil that Trump by far. But fuel prices still increased because of greed. It's not hard to understand. But the promise that food prices like eggs would decline immediately was a flat out lie. Yesterday at I was at the supermarket and eggs were $10.99 per dozen.
Letter: UPHOLDING THE CONSTITUTION
l just had a LOL moment reading Dan R's LTE. He calls a simple, easily answered question to the prez, and the prez whose only answer should have been yes, answered, "I don't know." How can you not know what you swore an oath to, exactly, Dan? Call it bias if that's what you need to do to make yourself feel better, but the job of the president and what he swore to was to uphold the constitution. It's not an, "I don't know," kind of answer.
Letter: An American hero??
I just read an LTE that claimed Musk an American hero. He's not even an American. He's a South African who grew up with apartheid. He's as far away from being an American Hero as Putin. But they both support the corrupt leader of the "so-called GOP." What Putin can't get done in America, he's got Musk doing for him. Destabilize the markets, call into question what are "real national emergency issues" like the war in Ukraine and in Gaza, as well as the climate crisis.
Letter: Military parade? Really?
The man that called veterans suckers and losers wants a military parade. For what? To celebrate his bone spurs? Or because he appointed and still supports the liar for Secretary of Defense, Hegseth. The same guy that feels it's important for friends and family to know about upcoming air strikes. I'm a proud Marine veteran who served during Operation Desert Storm. I'm also proud of what the Marines have meant to our country.
Letter: Apartheid
I'm old and still trying to understand what Zionism is. I do know what Apartheid is. Reading a LTE today the writer said Israel isn't an apartheid state because Ethiopian Jews, gays and trans are all accepted and are living there. What about the Palestinians that were there first?
Ripster Revivals #14
Written by Mike Ripley RIPSTER REVIVALS #14 Yet more ‘occasional’ ramblings from the world of (mostly)crime fiction and thrillers. Books read, re-read and still to be read; old favourites rediscovered, new gems uncovered. Scene of the Crime(Fest) CrimeFest will indeed be leaving the festival scene next month as its sixteenth incarnation will see the end of has been rightly labelled ‘the friendliest of all gatherings celebrating murder and mayhem’.
Letter: Lies don't really matter
A letter to the editor about lies mattering had me laughing out loud. The reader claimed that the Biden administration apparently lied to the American people, constantly. He mentions the pardon to Biden's son, because he said, "he'd not pardon him." That would be a lie, for sure. But I ask the letter writer, "wouldn't you pardon your son?" He goes on to say that it was a lie that economy was doing well. That was a fact and not a lie. Why it was called a lie was just ignorance. Facts aren't changeable.
Letter: Taxes and Musk
Reading a well thought out answer regarding taxes was inspiring. I want to thank Lawrence Mazin for coming up with a plan that would keep seniors from the anxiety that this administration is causing and tax those that have the most responsibility. Too bad the Muskrat isn't smart enough to come up with a similar plan. Unfortunately for the rich that now run the government, that would keep them from making ungodly amounts of money without paying their fair share. Why would they want that?
Letter: Here I am
Responding to Rich who believes people who don't like the felon he helped elect president are "wandering in the wilderness." No one suffers from TDS other than the T, himself. No one other than him and maybe his mini me believes they are above the law. No vicious gang member has more rights than you, Rich. How you came up with that is just idiotic. He says that Dems who voted for "electrifying" our autos are now destroying them and burning them to the ground.
Letter: Liberal point of view
Doug Shumway of Green Valley blames the liberals of Oro Valley for anti-T diatribes. He states Democrats lie far more than the prez for some reason that I'm still trying to understand. #47 lied in his campaign about Project 2025. He's firmly implemented it now. Doug and many others voted for a criminal who guaranteed he'd bring down the cost of eggs his first day in office, and stop the war in Ukraine the same day. Who's been lying to who exactly? How much are eggs?
Letter: Forest fires out of control
Thanks to reading Ed LeGendre's LTE I was educated about how wildfires cleanse the forest and the million-dollar homes it takes along with it like in LA and that's a good thing. Why Ed feels this is what's good for the federal government is another story. He thanks the fool and his flying monkey for clearing out the underbrush. No one wants waste and abuse in our government.
Letter: What you voted for
Some people voted for the prez because he promised to bring down the cost of products that he claimed the Biden administration's policies inflated. He stood in front of a table of products for those that needed pictorial proof. If that's what you wanted, did you get that relief yet? Some people voted for him because he was going to secure our border from the illegals. He's now deporting them as fast as he can. If that's what you wanted, you're getting it.
Letter: Inflation and eggs
Remember when the candidate stood in front of a few tables of food products and claimed the food and staples we live on were way overpriced and he'd bring the prices down? His quote, "When I win, I will immediately bring down prices, day one." He also stated he'd lower inflation. Has anyone found a dozen eggs on the shelf lately? Or have they decreased in price yet? Has inflation dropped since 47 took over? You'll have to answer those questions yourselves.
Letter: President Musk
The Dems were crucified by their own party for not holding primaries and just allowing Kamala Harris to become the Democratic nominee. That was probably the difference in the election. Most Dems complained that they didn't have a voice in the selection process. However, now we have a president that was never on the ballot, wasn't born in this country, and is now running the government. After reading Stuart Goldfine's LTE you'd think that the prez is doing a great job. However, Musk isn't president.
Letter: Trump section
Denise from midtown suggests that the Star designate one section to cover all the news about #45/47's anti-administration coverage. All the LTEs complaining about what the felon and chief should be in one section, so it's easier for her to throw out as garbage. I suggest a similar approach. Although the Star will need to increase the number of pages exponentially by the change. Why not have one section just to cover the lies that the sexual predator states daily?
Letter: "So-called felon"
The new prez is not a "so-called" felon. He's a convicted felon. Go ahead and quote Alan Dershowitz (the guy that helped get OJ off) if you'd like, but the law says that the sexual predator, convicted felon is a felon, not a "so-called" felon. Believe what you need to feel good about your vote, but our country which was once great, now has a felon (not "so-called") in charge. Is this what the GOP's idea of making America great again is like? If so, let's not be so great anymore.
Letter: Fair ball
"If you think back to before the election and all of the lies the liberals were spewing about Trump and, already, there are more lies attempting to influence people." The quote: "Like creatures emerging from the underbrush." Someone actually wrote this. Who in the history of the US has told more lies while in office than the felon and liar-in-chief?
Letter: Arizona stops sale of border wall parts
After reading this article I harken back to the first campaign of the liar in chief saying he'd build a border wall and Mexico would pay for it. Why would anyone be upset with selling Mexico's scrap material? It's because Mexico invested zero dollars/pesos to the building of the wall that 45 promised. Now I've read, "It's very expensive, and now it's about double the price of what it would have been six years ago," Trump said on Monday.
Letter: MUSK IS EVERYTHING BUT A GOOD GUY
I'm not sure how Jeffery McConnell came up with Elon Musk being a good guy when he's the furthest thing from a "good guy." Jeff explains how George Soros is really the Billionaire political donor that can be blamed for, what exactly he didn't explain. He complains that Soros bought up numerous small radio stations because "Biden" allowed it.
Letter: Selling off the waste of the wall
Complaining about the Biden administration has become one letter writer's dream job/life. He lies with uncommon steadfastness. If he's so enamored by the way the Texas is saving the steel to build the worthless wall that kept animals from their natural territories, maybe a move to Texas would do him good. I know for myself and at least a dozen or more other commenters who understand that you're a GOP party enthusiast and a member of the Cult of T.
Letter: Party loyalty
I just read a letter to the editor in which the author mentions that corrupt and violent Democrats started the Civil War. While in essence this may be somewhat accurate because Democrats were staunch conservatives and Republicans were liberals, but the parties have done a complete 180 since the Civil War. The racist (Dixiecrats as they became known) turned into today's Republican Party. That's a fact that I learned in my high school American History class.
Letter: Brett Brennan is the coach's name
Scott, U of A's football coach is Brett Brennan. He had a terrible year no doubt. But that's because of the expectations set by the team the year before. You complain about Mackovic and Sumlin but didn't mention Jedd Fisch's first two seasons. Why not?? Jedd won one game, (granted it was the territorial cup) his first season. Just 5 his second. Brett lost how many key players to the transfer portal yet he still won more games than Fisch.
Letter: I'M NOT COMPLICIT
Our loyal friend is now accusing this newspaper and "liberal contributers" to having a supported separation of 300,000 undocumented children living in the US that are supposedly somehow caught up in sex trafficking. He goes on to say if anything happens to these children it's on the current administration, the Star and those of us that didn't vote for the felon and sexual predator. Loyal doesn't seem to remember when his cult leader called for separating minors at the border from their parents.
Letter: The meaning of arrogance
It's pitiful that a Vietnam veteran (according to him) would vote for a draft dodger of the same war that called veterans losers and fools. That seems idiotic. I served as an Officer of Marines during Operation Desert Storm. I wasn't a medic but I led Marines. I believe that voting for anyone that would say such things about the men and women I served with is not only stupid, it's arrogant. Biden made America great for at least four years. We can all thank Democrats for that.
Letter: The shakedown
Our "loyal" friend in OV thinks that a shakeup is needed to because the current administration devastated our country. I'm so happy we've been devastated for the last four years. All of those that voted for the sexual predator and felon will now reap the rewards of 4 years of undisciplined corrupted administration. You'll get the richest man in the world to oversee what he thinks are necessary changes to the administration of our government.
Letter: Thank you, Biden/Harris
I want to thank the president and VP for saving America from the 4 years of lying and cozying up to dictators. Thank you for the sanity you brought to our country. It's so important to have leaders and not criminals in charge. It's a testimony to your beliefs in the good of our country that got us through Covid and kept us from an impending recession. You clearly made Americans proud of our country again.
Letter: The autopsy
My "loyal" friend in Oro Valley has figured it all out again. He claims that VP Harris was a do-nothing VP. Can he tell me one VP other than Gerald Ford that did anything in his terms as VP? Please tell me one VP that had anything whatsoever to do with the presidency. In the next months while he tries to figure that out, lets congratulate the racist, misogynistic felon lovers that voted for such a complete POS. He complains that Harris was a flip-flopper.
Letter: Re: Kamala is a sham
Two letters from our Loyal friend this week. The star is stepping up to post this BS twice a week now? Loyal complains about the Opportunity Economy that Harris touts. He wonders where this plan is. Well Loyal it's on the website Kamalaharris.com. Just go there and you'll get all the answers you seek. Where do we find the "concepts of the plans," that your hero and convicted felon has proposed?
"Properly Improving Employee Attitudes through HR Programs and Recognit" by Jonathan DeGraff and Dr. John Bingham
Keywords employee attitudes, HR programs, recognition practices, employee engagement College Marriott School of Management Abstract Employers seek to enhance employee dedication and increase company productivity while controlling operating costs; hence, companies have recently been investing more in human resource (HR) programs and recognition practices.
Letter: For the good of all?
I agree 100% with Sharon Green of Green Valley that we should vote for the good of all. However, I'm a Democrat and not part of a socialist communist group like Sharon seems to think. If Sharon actually believed that voting for the good of all is great she would try to understand the difference between Democratic ideals and what communism/socialism really is.
Letter: November election
Gerald Jurries of Green Valley doesn't believe we should judge our president on character alone. Sure, let's let Adolf Hitler run for President because his values aligned with so many other racist, uninformed voters. Gary Hart had to drop out of the race for President based on a "potential extramarital affair." An affair?? The former prez had affairs with two of his wives while married to two others. He is also a convicted felon.
Letter: THE DEBATE
Kenneth Wolf asks the Star why they didn't print the lies that VP Harris made during the debate as they supposedly only pointed out the lies, that the "LIAR IN CHIEF" told. He said he'd produce them. I just check numerous web sites both foreign and domestic, and they can't seem to find the 11,780 lies the felon is still looking for. Ken please submit your list, since no credible website or credible authority can find them.
Letter: #45's LATEST LACK OF THE OBVIOUS
Reading numerous LTE's I read a letter writer that "wants to set the record straight.," regarding the predators recent visit to Arlington. He claims that both Biden and Harris were aware that these few Orange followers wanted him there. The letter goes on to state that The Felon did this out of the goodness of his dark heart. He gives "hat's off" to the felon for showing up.
Letter: PRICE GOUGING
Bidenomics as John Bueler calls it has caused price gouging. He goes on to say that it's because the Biden administration has reduced energy production by limiting fracking. The fact is that a war in Ukraine is what has resulted in fuel prices going up, not Bidenomics. Bidenomics has brought more than $4.2B dollars into the Arizona economy. Is that price gouging? Or is it an administration that cares for all rather than just a few.
Letter: STAR'S BIAS OF THE SUPREME COURT
Can someone help me understand what James Tuthill is saying when he says,"The reforms they advocate(Democrats) would destroy the courts true independence and it's ability to serve as the final check of power of the two other branches?" His assertion of the democrats wanting to "pack" the court to control the composition to support their social and political views is absurd. Was James born in the last few years?
Letter: VP HARRIS CONTINUALLY TO LIE TO AMERICA
I just read that Kamala Harris continually lied to America according to a letter writer. Why would he complain about Harris lying when #45 set the record for lying while in office with more than 30,000 lies or falsehoods while in office? Is there a competition for liars that #45 couldn't win? After reading the letter I was astonished at the take. Don't vote for Harris because she lies less than the felon she's runnning against?
Letter: MEDIA COVERAGE
Again, my loyal friend in Oro Valley's LTE was published with the normal vitriol that he's come to spew. He claims that many white house staffers left because our upcoming President Kamala Harris created a "hostile workplace." Which of these many that left have come out against Biden and Harris? Being loyal to a felon, sexual predator, and lying SOB may be good with your friends, but it's not The American Way.
Letter: Biden is leaving a shameful and disaturous border issue
I don't know David Burford from Adam but what I do know about him is that he's completely wrong about the border issue. Writing an opinion piece about the border and being 100% wrong about it shouldn't have been published. He states that Biden's border issue is 100% Biden's fault. David apparently didn't go to civics class when it taught what Congress does for a living. The immigration policies of this country have been kicked down the road for a number of years now.

Letter: BIDEN LIED ABOUT THE BORDER
Alan Ruiz accuses President Biden of lying seven (7) times about the border in his LTE. I don't believe that Alan is an expert about the border nor are his accusations valid. However, does that really matter? I just have to ask Alan, "have you forgotten that #45 was proven to have said/lied/presented 30,573 falsehoods while in office.
Letter: CAMPAIGN RHETORIC
I just read another Non-Univeristy of Arizona letter writer complaining about gas prices and complaining again, that's it's Biden's fault. Luckily for me I was fortunate enough to be forced to take economics while at the University and I learned what causes things like inflation and rising fuel prices. It's too bad that the letter writer didn't get the same great education I got at UofA. Loren the former prez came into office with a great economy. He wrecked it.
Letter: HONOR OUR HEROS
I just read another LTE where the letter writer criticizes our president for being "lost in his own world." The first paragraph of his letter made complete sense that we should honor our Heros of the Greatest Generation. He doesn't seem to realize that the former and now GOP candidate, thinks these heros that Jerry writes about were "losers and suckers." I believe that the one's that are lost in their own world's are Jerry and the GOP candidate that don't really care about our country.
