Long-term survival and cause-specific mortality after event-free survival at 24 months (EFS24) in mantle cell lymphoma: an international multicohort study
Abstract The prognostic significance of event-free survival at 24 months (EFS24) in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) has not been fully defined in the era of contemporary immunochemotherapy. We analyzed 3179 patients from five cohorts (Mayo Clinic/Iowa MER, US 12-center, BC Cancer, Swedish, and Danish) diagnosed between 2002 and 2020. Two treatment eras were defined per cohort based on shifts in frontline immunochemotherapy.
Treatment patterns and outcomes for second-line therapy in large B-cell lymphoma: results from the LEO CReWE study
|
Abstract Treatment strategies for relapsed/refractory large B-cell lymphoma (R/R LBCL) have evolved rapidly, yet relationships between therapy selection and outcomes remain poorly defined. The LEO CReWE study evaluated disease characteristics, patterns of care, and outcomes in 1504 patients with R/R LBCL from 2002 to 2022. Of these, 64% received chemoimmunotherapy at second-line (2L).

Mantle cell lymphoma outcomes following sequential first-line bendamustine-rituximab and second-line Bruton’s tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy
|
Abstract Addition of Bruton’s tyrosine kinase inhibitor (BTKi) to first-line (1 L) bendamustine-rituximab (BR) improved progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) in the SHINE and ECHO trials. We investigated whether sequential treatment with 1 L BR and second-line (2 L) BTKi can result in similar cumulative PFS compared to BR-BTKi combination therapy, using a multicenter cohort of 755 patients treated with 1 L BR between 2014 and 2020.

Treatment Outcomes and Roles of Transplantation and Maintenance Rituximab in Patients With Previously Untreated Mantle Cell Lymphoma: Results From Large Real-World Cohorts | Journal of Clinical Oncology
Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) has a heterogenous, often aggressive clinical presentation.1,2 For patients age < 65 years, current guidelines recommend induction with a high-dose cytarabine-containing chemoimmunotherapy regimen followed by consolidation with autologous hematopoietic stem-cell transplant (ASCT) and maintenance with rituximab (MR).3,4 For patients age ≥ 65 years who cannot tolerate intensive regimens, recommended treatments include bendamustine plus rituximab (BR), rituximab plus...
The Role of the Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment in the Evaluation of the Older Cancer Patient
November 14, 2019 Abstract / Synopsis: ABSTRACT: Geriatric assessments have now been recommended as part of the standard evaluation of an older adult considering cancer therapy. While the need for a more in-depth performance status evaluation of an older person with cancer was identified over 20 years ago, completion of a comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) is time-consuming and not frequently performed as part of the standard assessment of older cancer patients.

What Factors Contribute to CLL-Related Fatigue?
Why do many chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients experience fatigue? Does fatigue level correspond with a patient’s CLL?
