2 women wanted in Silver Spring senior community killing arrested in Ohio

Two women wanted in the killing of a senior living community resident in Silver Spring, Maryland, have been arrested in Ohio after someone recognized them from media coverage of the slaying, police say. The victim, 67-year-old Hilde Henderson, was found dead in her home at the Charter House community on 1316 Fenwick Lane in downtown Silver Spring on the morning of May 26, Montgomery County police said.

The FIFA World Cup Fan Zone is set to open on the National Mall Thursday, and excitement is already building for soccer fans across the D.C. area. A huge Jumbotron is standing against the backdrop of the U.S. Capitol, on the National Mall between 3rd and 4th streets. Through July 19, soccer fans will find live match watch parties, youth programming, cultural showcases and family-friendly fun. The fan festival will be free and open to the public of all ages. Attendees are encouraged to register.
