The Fayetteville Police Department announced Dec. 16 that Toni Jackson Troxell, 52, was found dead in the 3900 block of Bragg Boulevard.

Fayetteville police identify man killed on Cliffdale Road on Dec. 14

Joseph Pierre, Fayetteville Observer Mon, December 15, 2025 at 6:59 PM UTC 1 min read The person killed in an early morning shooting Dec. 14 on Cliffdale Road has been identified as a Fayetteville man. According to a Fayetteville Police Department news release Dec. 15, Xavier Jaquan Griffin, 34, was killed around 4:15 a.m. in the 5000 block of Cliffdale Road. Police said Griffin was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
