When it comes to the newsroom, I've done it all.
During my decade-plus in the journalism field, I've been a page designer, staff writer, copy editor, supervisor, social media coordinator and online contributor.
• As a page designer and copy editor, I've overseen the pagination and content aspect of several newspapers and alt-weeklies.
• As a supervisor, I acted as the point man for several page designers and reporters who worked remotely.
• As a digital producer and communications manager I managed social media pages such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
• As a staff writer, I've covered all aspects of the newsroom. This includes state and local government, crime, business and human interest features.
Outside of the newsroom, I'm a commercial drone pilot certified by the FAA with a Part 107 license. I've also written, directed and edited a short film named "House Haunting" that had its big-screen premiere at the Arkansas Shorts Festival 2023 in Hot Springs.
I consider myself well-rounded and adaptable to whatever situation I am in. I also believe in taking advantage of what technology is available to reach a wider audience.
