Rescue chopper called in to search for boat off Cape Manifold

The rescue chopper has been tasked to a search in the vicinity of Cape Manifold north of Yeppoon. CapRescue arrived on the scene yesterday afternoon and began the beacon search before locating the vessel. The boat lacked modern communication and emergency equipment, so a Rescue Crewperson was winched down. Article continues after this ad It was found the boat had run out of fuel, but the people onboard were not in need of medical assistance. The Coast Guard was then called in to assist.

Sharing one’s status may help with coping with these challenges but there are no rigorously evaluated interventions to support HIV status sharing in this population. The aim of this study was to explore the experiences of participants in a novel HIV status-sharing intervention guided by motivational interviewing. We used a cross-sectional, qualitative design.
