Efficacy of combination treatment by ustekinumab and exclusive enteral nutrition in adult patients with moderate-to-severe Crohn’s disease
Abstract Despite growing evidence affirming the therapeutic efficacy of ustekinumab (UST) in the treatment of Crohn’s disease (CD), optimizing clinical responses to this biologic continued to pose a significant challenge in clinical practice. From October 2020 to September 2024, a retrospective study was conducted on 114 patients with moderately-to-severely active CD who received optimized ustekinumab by 2 initial intravenous doses in three inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) centers.
Carboxyl-directed, general α-site-selective deuteration of carboxylic acids by Pd 1 /CeO x single-atom catalyst
Abstract Carboxylic acids are ubiquitous structural motifs in bioactive molecules, making their site-selective deuteration a powerful tool for probing biochemical mechanisms and improving the pharmacokinetic properties of drug molecules. Late-stage H/D exchange offers superiority over de novo synthesis from deuterated precursors, but remains challenging.
Systematic review and meta-analysis of AI in lung cancer metastasis imaging for diagnosis and prognosis
Abstract Lung cancer (LC) remains the leading cause of cancer-related mortality, and distant metastases (DMs) are common. Imaging-based AI research has largely focused on primary tumors, with metastatic lesions insufficiently investigated. This study provides the first metastasis-focused quantitative synthesis of AI performance for imaging-based evaluation of DMs in LC across classification and outcome-prediction tasks, with 59 of 64 eligible reports in the meta-analysis.

The Protective Effect of Mangiferin on Formaldehyde-Induced HT22 Cell Damage and Cognitive Impairment
Abstract : Formaldehyde (FA) has been found to induce major Alzheimer’s disease (AD)-like features including cognitive impairment, Aβ deposition, and Tau hyperphosphorylation, suggesting that it may play a significant role in the initiation and progression of AD. Therefore, elucidating the mechanism underlying FA-induced neurotoxicity is crucial for exploring more comprehensive approaches to delay or prevent the development of AD.

In-Situ Detection of Intracellular Tissue Transglutaminase Based on Aggregation-Induced Emission
In-Situ Detection of Intracellular Tissue Transglutaminase Based on Aggregation-Induced Emission Herein, a novel strategy for in-situ imaging and real-time monitoring intracellular tissue transglutaminase (TG2) was presented based on aggregation-induced emission (AIE). It has high sensitivity and specificity, minimal background signal and could also effectively distinguish different cell types (drug-resistant cancer cells, cancer cells and normal cells).

Oxygen vacancy-rich, Ru-doped In2O3 ultrathin nanosheets for efficient detection of xylene at low temperature
The oxidation capacity and quantity of chemisorbed oxygen are known to determine the extent of reaction with a target gas and thus deeply affect the sensing property of a material. Therefore, to improve the reaction extent and enhance the sensing performance of a sensing material, a feasible and effective route is to increase the amount of chemisorbed oxygen on its surface. In this work, Ru species were successfully doped into the lattice of ultrathin In2O3 nanosheets.
MiR-150 regulates human keratinocyte proliferation in hypoxic conditions through targeting HIF-1α and VEGFA: Implications for psoriasis treatment
Psoriasis is a common and chronic autoimmune skin disease which affects 2 to 3% of the world population. Abnormal proliferation of human keratinocytes is an important feature of psoriasis, along with local hypoxia and vascular abnormal growth. To leverage recent molecular findings into the personalized treatment of psoriasis, we need a strategy that integrates clinical stratification with molecular phenotyping.

Tandem repeats of TSER significantly influence the efficacy of 5-fluorouracil in the treatment of plantar warts
Aim: To identify potential genetic risk markers associated with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) treatment outcomes in plantar warts patients. Methods: In this study, 126 plantar warts patients were treated with an intralesional mixture of 5-FU, lidocaine and epinephrine. Treatment outcomes were compared with DNA mutation analysis. Results: More patients with TSER 3R/3R genotype failed 5-FU treatment than TSER 2R/3R+2R/2R (72.1 vs 43.8%; odds ratio: 3.32; 95% CI: 1.26–8.72; p = 0.013).
