The King County Prosecutor’s Office (KCPAO) refiled charges Tuesday against Henry Eugene Washington relating to the 2020 death of Bothell Police Officer Jonathan Shoop and injury to Bothell Police Officer Mustafa Kumcur. The KCPAO says on July 14, 2020, Officer Shoop and Officer Kumcur tried to pull Washington over for driving a car without a license plate. They say Washington sped away, but eventually got out of his car, walked toward the police cruiser, and opened fire.

Avoid the area and close windows The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) is fighting a 3-alarm warehouse fire in Ballard. The fire broke out in a commercial building just after 5 pm off NW 42nd Street and Leary Way NW. SFD is asking people to close windows and doors to avoid smoke if you live or work in the area.

Drive-by shooting on I-5, police looking for witnesses Original

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is looking for witnesses to a drive-by shooting on Interstate 5 on Tuesday morning. WSP says it happened at around 2:50 am when the victim called 911 to report their vehicle was shot at on southbound I-5 near the Washington State Convention Center. They say the victim heard a loud noise and felt an impact as they were driving. The victim’s black Mercedes SUV was shot once. The driver was not injured.
