Depth of Invasion as a Predictor of Contralateral Nodal Metastasis in Lateralized Oral Tongue Squamous Cell Carcinomas
1 Introduction The incidence of oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) continues to increase over the last several decades, while all other head and neck subsites are declining [1]. The estimated incidence of oral tongue cancer in the US in 2025 was approximately 20 040 cases and represented 1.0% of all new head and neck cancer cases [2, 3]. With the rise in oral tongue SCC, the need to appropriately manage cervical nodal disease is paramount.
Elevated blood urea nitrogen-to-albumin ratio is associated with incident sepsis-associated delirium: evidence from a weighted competing-risk analysis in a multicenter cohort study
Abstract Background: Sepsis-associated delirium (SAD) is a frequent manifestation of acute brain dysfunction in sepsis. Although the blood urea nitrogen-to-albumin ratio (BAR) has been associated with prognosis in critically ill patients, its relationship with incident SAD remains uncertain. We evaluated the association between early BAR and incident SAD.

CRISPR/Cas9-Mediated Editing of Four Ca 2+ -Binding Receptor-Like Cytoplasmic Kinases Improves Soybean Seed Size and Yield at Dense Planting
Soybean serves as a crucial provider of both edible oil and vegetable protein for humans. Nevertheless, the grain yield of soybean at the population level lags significantly behind that of other staple crops (Tian et al. 2025). High-density planting is critical for improving soybean yield (Li, Sun, et al. 2023), however, few genes have been functionally characterised to confer soybean yield under dense planting.
Selenium-induced metabolic reprogramming in soybean activates nucleotide transport pathways and suppresses primary carbon metabolism
Abstract Selenium biofortification in soybean is one approach to addressing widespread selenium deficiency in human populations, yet the temporal dynamics of gene expression and antioxidant responses following selenium enrichment remain poorly characterized. Here, we examined the physiological and transcriptional responses of the HK88 soybean variety to selenium-enriched nutrient solution treatment, with seedlings sampled at 1, 24, and 48 h post-treatment.

A retrospective analysis of clinical and imaging data from 222 lung adenocarcinoma patients treated with 3rd-EGFR-TKIs was conducted.
Multidisciplinary blinded randomized expert evaluation of large language models for clinical diagnosis and management
|
Abstract Direct clinical uses of large language models (LLMs) remain controversial, partly because of the lack of methodological rigor in assessing their risks and benefits in medicine. We developed Medieval, a multidisciplinary, randomized, and blinded expert evaluation framework. A ten-point Dreyfus-based scoring scale linked to career stages of human physicians was designed to reflect response qualities.

Mechanistic Differences between Linear vs Spirocyclic Dialkyldiazirine Probes for Photoaffinity Labeling
Mechanistic Differences between Linear vs Spirocyclic Dialkyldiazirine Probes for Photoaffinity Labeling Dialkyldiazirines have emerged as a photo-reactive group of choice for interactome mapping in live cell experiments. Upon irradiation, ‘linear’ dialkyldiazirines produce dialkylcarbenes which are susceptible to both intramolecular reactions and unimolecular elimination processes, as well as diazoalkanes, which also participate in intermolecular labeling.

Research on Smart Contract Verification and Generation Method Based on BPMN
1. Introduction A smart contract is a code script that operates within a blockchain network. Developers must utilize programming languages such as Solidity and Go, adhering to their respective syntax rules. As business requirements become increasingly complex, if developers do not have a good understanding of business logic, the implemented code logic is likely to be inconsistent with the business logic proposed by the user.

Biphasic amplitude oscillator characterized by distinct dynamics of trough and crest
Biphasic amplitude dynamics (BAD) of oscillation have been observed in many biological systems. However, the specific topology structure and regulatory mechanisms underlying these biphasic amplitude dynamics remain elusive. Here, we searched all possible two-node circuit topologies and identified the core oscillator that enables robust oscillation.
Electrolyte Design for Lithium‐Ion Batteries for Extreme Temperature Applications
With increasing energy storage demands across various applications, reliable batteries capable of performing in harsh environments, such as extreme temperatures, are crucial. However, current lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) exhibit limitations in both low and high-temperature performance, restricting their use in critical fields like defense, military, and aerospace. These challenges stem from the narrow operational temperature range and safety concerns of existing electrolyte systems.
