ZEB1 maintains energy metabolism to sustain cardiac function through synergistic regulation with TEAD1
Abstract Metabolic reprogramming plays a critical role in heart failure (HF), but its regulatory mechanisms remain incompletely understood. Zinc finger E-box binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1), a transcription factor initially identified as a regulator of epithelial-mesenchymal transition, has recently been implicated in metabolic regulation. Here, we show that ZEB1 expression is reduced in failing cardiomyocytes.
Maternal hyperglycemia-induced O -GlcNAcylation of CaMKIIδ promotes mtDNA release and cardiac remodeling in offspring
Abstract Maternal diabetes during pregnancy increases the risk of metabolic and cardiac disorders in offspring. Nevertheless, the mechanism by which intrauterine hyperglycemia affects neonatal cardiac remodeling remains uncertain. This study aims to characterize the prenatal environment in the context of gestational diabetes mellitus and to identify the corresponding fetal changes.
SNORD50A/B disassemble ASC-1 complex to silence NF-κB and boost PD-1 blockade in non-small-cell lung cancer
Abstract Small nucleolar RNA SNORD50A and SNORD50B (SNORD50A/B) have increasingly been linked to tumorigenesis due to their high frequency of deletion across multiple cancer types. However, their biological roles in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remain to be systematically investigated. In this study, we observed that SNORD50A/B were frequently deleted in lung adenocarcinomas, and this molecular event was strongly linked to poor patient survival.
The association of time-restricted eating and indices of organ-specific aging in relation to metabolic health and obesity
Abstract This cross-sectional study explored how time-restricted eating (TRE) interacts with metabolic health and obesity (MH&O) in relation to biological age indices of different organs. Data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2003–2018) were analyzed, including 4890 participants. TRE strategies were assessed based on eating frequency and meal timing.
Association between adverse childhood experiences and cardiovascular disease risk in cardiovascular kidney metabolic syndrome stages 0 to 3
Abstract Adverse childhood experiences (ACE) significantly escalate the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). However, their specific impact on individuals suffering from cardiovascular kidney metabolic (CKM) syndrome remains largely unexplored. This study examined ACE-CVD associations and depression’s mediating role in this high-risk population. This longitudinal study included 6,113 Chinese adults with CKM syndrome (stages 0–3) from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS).
Hypoxia-induced BTN3A2 promotes glioma progression and chemoresistance via AKT/SP1/RAD51-mediated DNA damage
|
Abstract Glioma remains a highly aggressive malignancy with frequent recurrence and resistance to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. BTN3A2 is a multifunctional regulatory protein originally implicated in γδ T-cell–mediated immune responses, yet its tumor-intrinsic role and mechanistic relevance in glioma are poorly defined. Here, BTN3A2 expression and prognostic associations were assessed in TCGA and CGGA cohorts and further validated by immunohistochemistry on tissue microarrays.

Advances in etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of lymphedema: a comprehensive review
1 Introduction The lymphatic system is unique to vertebrates and functions as a drainage of excess interstitial fluid, fat absorption and immune surveillance. It consists of lymphatic vessels, lymphatic tissues, and lymphatic organs. Unlike blood vessels, lymphatic vessels do not form a closed circulation but operate as a unidirectional system, with lymph flowing centripetally toward the heart. The system begins with initial lymphatic vessels, followed by precollectors, collectors, and trunks.

C-H Functionalisation of [2.2]Paracyclophane under Copper catalysis
C-H Functionalisation of [2.2]Paracyclophane under Copper catalysis The direct C-H functionalisation of [2.2]paracyclophane (PCP) by forging diverse C-C bonds is appealing, yet has remained underexplored. Herein, we describe a copper-catalysed non-directed C–H arylation and alkenylation of PCP with various iodonium salts. This method features high selectivity, broad substrate scope, and mild conditions, constituting a practical platform for the modular access to PCP derivatives.
