Clinical and genetic characteristics of patients with disorders of sex development in a large unselected cohort of China
Abstract Disorders of sex development (DSD) encompass a range of congenital conditions characterized by atypical chromosomal, gonadal, or anatomical sex development. Accurate diagnosis and management of DSD are crucial for optimal patient outcomes. This research aims to characterize the clinical and genetic characteristics of a large Chinese cohort of children with non‑chromosomal DSD, with particular focus on the most frequently implicated genes and their diagnostic implications.
DOCTER: a genetically encoded switchable protein module for ERα-mediated transcriptional regulation
Abstract The inhibition of estrogen receptor (ER)-mediated genomic signaling in ER-positive cancer cells has long been a primary focus of therapeutic strategies. Here, we introduce a switchable competitive inhibition system for ERα-mediated transcriptional regulation, termed DOCTER (Drug-induced On-Off Competitor for Transcription mediated by ERα). DOCTER integrates the Tet-On induced Cre-loxP recombination system to enable precise, reversible on/off switching.
Biorhythm-mimicking growth hormone patch - Nature Materials
Abstract Timing dosing throughout the day impacts the therapeutic efficacy and side effects of medications. Thus, optimizing release profiles to synchronize drug concentrations with natural rhythms is critical for optimal therapeutic benefits. However, existing delivery systems are still inefficient in delivering drugs in a biorhythm-mimicking fashion.
A fast chemical reprogramming system promotes cell identity transition through a diapause-like state - Nature Cell Biology
Abstract Cellular reprogramming by only small molecules holds enormous potentials for regenerative medicine. However, chemical reprogramming remains a slow process and labour intensive, hindering its broad applications and the investigation of underlying molecular mechanisms. Here, through screening of over 21,000 conditions, we develop a fast chemical reprogramming (FCR) system, which significantly improves the kinetics of cell identity rewiring.

Changes in Children's Healthcare Visits During Coronavirus Disease-2019 Pandemic in Hangzhou, China
The lower than expected rates of children affected by coronavirus disease-2019 does not mean that there was no impact on children's health. Using data on pediatric healthcare visits before and after the breakout of coronavirus disease-2019 and historical data, we identified pediatric conditions that were most affected by the pandemic and epidemic control measures during the pandemic.
Changing Epidemiology of Metabolic Syndrome and Type 2 Diabetes in Chinese Youth
Pediatric Type 2 Diabetes (PS Zeitler, Section Editor) First Online: 26 November 2013 Abstract China is gradually taking its place as one of the world’s economic giants and concurrently learning to understand how to bear the burdens of diseases that are more common in the fully developed world, such as pediatric obesity, metabolic syndrome, and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Polysaccharides derived from natural sources regulate lipid metabolism: A review of the mechanisms
Polysaccharides derived from natural sources regulate lipid metabolism: A review of the mechanisms With great changes in people’s lifestyles, the incidence of hyperlipidaemia has dramatically increased in recent years. Numerous studies have demonstrated natural polysaccharides have hypolipidemic effect. In this review, the cause and mechanism of hyperlipidaemia are discussed in order to better understand how polysaccharides can alleviate hyperlipidaemia.
