Tumor lysis syndrome in breast cancer: a systematic review of the literature
Abstract Background: Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) is a life-threatening oncologic emergency well-characterized in hematologic malignancies but considered rare in solid tumors. In breast cancer, TLS has been documented only in sporadic case reports, and the evolving treatment landscape—including CDK4/6 inhibitors, PI3K inhibitors, novel endocrine agents, and antibody-drug conjugates—may introduce previously unrecognized TLS risks.
A geometry-aligned and elevation-guided U-Net for canopy mapping of Populus euphratica trees using UAV LiDAR and multispectral imagery
ABSTRACT Accurate plot-scale canopy mapping of Populus euphratica trees in desert riparian forests remains challenging because highly reflective bare soil, mixed shrubs and fragmented crowns often cause severe spectral confusion.
In vitro chondrogenesis of rat adipose-derived stem cells combined with sodium alginate hydrogel scaffold induced by cartilage-derived morphogenetic protein-1
Abstract Objective: To explore the feasibility of chondrogenic differentiation of rat adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) combined with sodium alginate (NaAlg) hydrogel scaffolds induced by cartilage-derived morphogenetic protein 1 (CDMP-1). Methods: ADSCs were isolated and cultured in vitro from rat inguinal fat pads using type I collagenase digestion, centrifugation and adherent culture methods.

One-Step Synthesis of Hemin@Au Nanoparticles for Inducing Ferroptosis in Photothermal-Immunotherapy Against Cancer
1 Introduction Recent studies on photothermal therapy (PTT) agents have largely centered on noble metal nanomaterials [1, 2], particularly gold-based nanostructures. These materials are favored due to their tunable size- and shape-dependent optical properties, ease of synthesis, and straightforward functionalization [3]. Gold nanoparticles have been widely used in targeted drug delivery, imaging, and diagnostics, enhancing treatment precision and efficacy [4].
New inventory of glaciers in Tajikistan from 3 m PlanetScope imagery (2024): the Tajikistan Glacier Inventory (TGI)
Abstract Glaciers in Tajikistan serve as a crucial water source in Central Asia. However, existing glacier data products suffer from several limitations, including outdated temporal coverage, coarse spatial resolution, and inadequate mapping of debris-covered glaciers. To address these issues, we have developed the Tajikistan Glacier Inventory (TGI), a high-resolution national-scale glacier dataset derived from 3 m resolution PlanetScope imagery acquired in 2024.

The non-classical immune checkpoint HLA-G: a regulatory master switch governing tolerance, evasion, and translational frontiers
Abstract Human Leukocyte Antigen G (HLA-G), a non-classical MHC Class I molecule, plays a pivotal role in immune regulation, particularly in reproductive immunology. It functions as an immune checkpoint by interacting with inhibitory receptors such as LILRB1 (ILT2/CD85j) and LILRB2 (ILT4/CD85d) on both innate and adaptive immune cells.

The patterns of the Populus euphratica forest and cropland changes upstream of the Tarim River under the policy-driven human activities during 1960-2023: International Journal of Remote Sensing: Vol 0, No 0 - Get Access
ABSTRACT The natural Populus euphratica forest surrounding the Tarim River has experienced significant deforestation since the 1960s. This forest loss is primarily attributed to cropland expansion and the excessive use of agricultural water resources, severely threatening the local riparian desert ecosystem.

However, measuring the trade-off relationships and external driving mechanisms of the ecosystem services in arid inland basins has always been a challenging task in terms of geography, ecology, and economics.
[2308.02263] Efficient Monaural Speech Enhancement using Spectrum Attention Fusion
Speech enhancement is a demanding task in automated speech processing pipelines, focusing on separating clean speech from noisy channels. Transformer based models have recently bested RNN and CNN models in speech enhancement, however at the same time they are much more computationally expensive and require much more high quality training data, which is always hard to come by.

Therefore, developing effective attack strategies is a key aspect of research on network controllability and its robustness.
Spatiotemporal Changes in the Supply and Demand of Ecosystem Services in the Kaidu-Kongque River Basin, China
Abstract : The assessment of ecosystem service (ES) supply and demand is crucial for the sustainable development of dryland drainage basins. The natural ecosystems in the Kaidu-Kongque River Basin have experienced severe ecological degradation in recent years, and the ES supply and demand were contradicted due to water scarcity and excessive water utilization.
Multi-Objective Optimization of the Robustness of Complex Networks Based on the Mixture of Weighted Surrogates
1. Introduction The Internet, transportation networks, and interpersonal connections [1] are all examples of networked systems, which are pervasive in both biological and societal contexts. Due to their complex structures, it can be challenging to analyze their dynamics. To address this issue, researchers have developed sophisticated network models to effectively represent these systems.
Research and Analysis on Contact Resistance of Wheel and Insulated Rail Joint in High-Speed Railway Stations
Abstract : Insulated rail joint (IRJ) as one of the components of the track circuit will be burned once the electric arc is generated when the train wheel passes through the insulated rail joint and the track circuit occurs the red-light band fault, which has a great impact on the safety of the train. Reducing the voltage at both ends of the insulated rail joint can effectively prevent the occurrence of electric arc.

The double-sided effects of Mycobacterium Bovis bacillus Calmette-Guérin vaccine
Abstract Bacillus Calmette–Guérin (BCG), the only vaccine proven to be effective against tuberculosis (TB), is the most commonly used vaccine globally. In addition to its effects on mycobacterial diseases, an increasing amount of epidemiological and experimental evidence accumulated since its introduction in 1921 has shown that BCG also exerts non-specific effects against a number of diseases, such as non-mycobacterial infections, allergies and certain malignancies.

Impact of potentially variable RBE in liver proton therapy
Considering a variable RBE may lead to a different photon-equivalent dose distribution from that using RBE = 1.1, and finally change the NTCP of the normal liver and TCP of the liver tumor. This study aims to understand the implications of variable RBE values based on data from an ongoing liver trial using different fractionation regimens at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH, ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT03186898).
