Alkaline selective separation of silicon/vanadium from vanadium-bearing shale and recovery of silica
Abstract To overcome the lack of effective separation driving force in traditional physical pre-concentration methods for vanadium hosted in mica-type minerals, an alkaline selective pre-desilication route for silicon/vanadium separation was proposed based on the differences in reactivity and structural stability of various mineral phases in alkaline systems.

Dissolution behaviour of Li, Ga and Sc in roasted high-sulphur bauxite during the Bayer process
ABSTRACT High-sulphur bauxite is an important resource for alumina production and critical elements such as lithium, gallium and scandium. Roasting is a technique for processing high-sulphur bauxite. However, it alters the leaching behaviour of these critical elements, affecting their recoveries. In this study, the leaching behaviours of Li, Ga and Sc in unroasted and roasted high-sulphur bauxite were investigated.

Design Issue Analysis and Operation Effect Evaluation of Large-Scale Storage Tank
1. Introduction Although separate sewer systems (SSS) are basically implemented in newly built urban areas in China [1,2], the transformation from combined sewer systems (CSS) to SSS in older urban areas is also ongoing. Many cities still use the CSS constructed decades ago [3,4].
Planning and Design Strategies for Green Stormwater Infrastructure from an Urban Design Perspective
1. Introduction As the process of urbanization accelerates globally, urban stormwater management has become a crucial and pressing task. With the deepening of urbanization, significant changes in land use patterns have occurred, especially the increase in impervious surfaces, leading to a substantial increase in urban surface runoff. This poses a significant challenge to the sustainable use of urban water resources and the stability of urban ecosystems [1].

Skeletal Editing of Dibenzolactones to Fluorenes via Ni- or Pd-Catalyzed Decarboxylation
The skeletal editing of dibenzolactones to fluorenes by Ni- or Pd-catalyzed decarboxylation is reported. In contrast to previously reported intramolecular decarboxylative couplings, inductively electron-withdrawing ortho substituents on the aryl carboxylate moiety and metal additives are not required. The decarboxylation reaction proceeds cleanly and can be applied to the skeletal editing of a natural product analogue.
Establishment and Application of a Specialized Physical Examination Indicator System for Urban Waterlogging Risk in China
Abstract : With the rapid development of urbanization in China, urban waterlogging has become a significant problem in constructing the safety of the human environment. As an essential manifestation of the modernization of the urban governance system and capacity, the city physical examination establishes a multi-criteria evaluation system for problem diagnosis, rectification, and improvement.
A C-to-O atom-swapping reaction sequence enabled by Ni-catalyzed decarbonylation of lactones
A C-to-O atom-swapping reaction sequence enabled by Ni-catalyzed decarbonylation of lactones† Quang H. Luu a and Junqi Li *a Abstract Advances in site-selective functionalization reactions have enabled single atom changes on the periphery of a complex molecule, but reaction manifolds that enable such changes on the core framework of the molecule remain sparse. Here, we disclose a strategy for carbon-to-oxygen substitution in cyclic diarylmethanes and diarylketones to yield cyclic diarylethers.
Prior-information-free single-shot scattering imaging beyond the memory effect
Abstract Imaging beyond the memory effect (ME) is critical to seeing through the scattering media. Methods proposed before have suffered from invasive point spread function measurement or the availability of prior information of the imaging targets. In this Letter, we propose a prior-information-free single-shot scattering imaging method to exceed the ME range.
Nucleation and Ostwald Growth of Particles in Fe-O-Al-Ca Melt
The average compositions and morphologies of particles in Fe-O-Al-Ca melt during the deoxidation process are shown in Fig. 1. [% Ca] ?=?0.25, 0.4, 0.78 (i represents initial addition of metal) were added in the melts with [% Al] ?=?0.05, 0.25 in order to study the effect of deoxidants amount on the behavior of calcium aluminate particles in the melt. The yield rates of Al and Ca in this experiment are about 90% and 1.6%, respectively.
Perpendicular growth of few-layered MoS2 nanosheets on MoO3 nanowires fabricated by direct anion exchange reactions for high-performance lithium-ion batteries - Journal of Materials Chemistry A (RSC Publishing)
One dimensional (1D) hierarchical core–shell structures (MoO @MoS ) constructed by perpendicular growth of few-layered MoS nanosheets on MoO nanowires were successfully fabricated by a direct anion-exchange reaction of the inorganic MoO nanowire precursor. The morphology and structure of the products can be controlled by adjusting the hybrid solvent in the anion-exchange process, and the contents of MoS and MoO in the core–shell nanowires can be easily tuned by adding a varied amount of thiourea.

Mn-based nanoparticles have regarded as a new class of probes for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), but their low relaxivity is the major obstacle of applications in vivo. Herein, we designed and constructed multifunctional nanotheranostics (FA-Mn3O4@PDA@PEG) for MRI guided combinatorial chemo-/photothermal therapy (PTT) of cancer.
