TCF3-mediated lysosomal function contributes to muscle stem cell quiescence
Abstract Muscle stem cells (MuSCs) preserve skeletal muscle homeostasis and regeneration by entering a reversible quiescent state. Importantly, quiescence is not a state of transcriptional inactivity but an actively maintained cellular state governed by specialized transcriptional programs. However, the transcription factors that coordinate these programs with intracellular homeostasis remain incompletely understood.

Case Report: Primary myelofibrosis presenting with non-cirrhotic portal hypertension and initially misdiagnosed as cirrhosis
Abstract Primary myelofibrosis (PMF) is a rare cause of non-cirrhotic portal hypertension (NCPH). Because the clinical manifestations of NCPH often resemble those of cirrhosis-related portal hypertension, it is frequently misdiagnosed as cirrhosis in clinical practice.
A binding-to-release strategy for targeted anticancer drug delivery
Abstract Drug conjugates, such as antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) and small molecule–drug conjugates (SMDCs), are often dependent on efficient receptor-mediated endocytosis for payload release1,2,3—supported by about 10% of targets4,5,6,7. For poorly internalizing targets, drug conjugates dissociate and clear rapidly, limiting efficacy.
Diverse bacterial pattern recognition receptors sense the core phage proteome
Abstract Recognition of foreign molecules inside cells is critical for immunity across all domains of life. Proteins of the STAND NTPase superfamily1,2, including eukaryotic NOD-like receptors, play a central role in this process3,4. In bacteria and archaea, although several STAND families sense phage proteins5,6,7,8,9, their functional diversity remains largely unexplored.
Washed microbiota transplantation is associated with short-term changes in selected spirometric parameters in patients with abnormal spirometry
Abstract Gut microbiota may modulate pulmonary inflammation through the gut–lung axis. This study investigated the association between washed microbiota transplantation (WMT) and short-term changes in pulmonary function, inflammatory markers, and gut microbiota in patients with abnormal spirometric patterns. A total of 110 patients who underwent fecal microbiota transplantation, also referred to as WMT, were consecutively screened between March 2023 and January 2025.
Preparation of ultra-clean coal by NaOH leaching with alkali liquor purification and regeneration
ABSTRACT This study used flotation cleaned coal (FCC) with an initial ash content of 2.87% as the feedstock to achieve deep deashing via NaOH alkaline leaching, while simultaneously investigating the purification and recycling of Si/Al-containing spent alkali liquor. During the leaching process, the effects of alkali concentration, leaching time, temperature, and liquid-to-solid ratio on deashing behavior were systematically evaluated.
Accelerated distributed scheduling of integrated community energy systems considering electricity-heat sharing
Abstract Integrated community energy systems (ICES) provide an efficient and sustainable approach to local energy management through multiple energy carriers including electricity, heating, and cooling while enhancing end-use energy management. Electrical and thermal connections between ICESs can further improve energy utilization and economic efficiency.
Development and validation of a noninvasive machine learning model using urinary extracellular vesicle physical parameters for prostate cancer diagnosis
Abstract Urinary extracellular vesicles (uEVs) are promising biomarkers for prostate cancer (PCa). Although novel uEV-based biomarkers have advanced early diagnosis, their detection processes remain cumbersome and cost-prohibitive. The physical parameters of uEVs offer untapped predictive potential for PCa, providing a more convenient, rapid, and cost-effective diagnostic approach.

Breaking the stigma: the role of family support in hepatitis B management from a public health education perspective
Abstract Hepatitis B remains a major global public health challenge. Beyond its clinical burden, hepatitis B-related stigma persists as a multilevel social process embedded within relational and institutional structures. Despite advances in vaccination and antiviral therapy, individuals living with hepatitis B continue to experience psychological distress and social marginalization shaped by stigma.

Association between maternal anxiety/depression in pregnancy and the development of offspring eczema/AD: a meta-analysis based on cohort studies
Introduction Eczema is a dermatological condition characterized by erythema, swelling, desquamation, and xerosis. Among the various subtypes of eczema, atopic dermatitis (AD) is the most prevalent (1). This chronic inflammatory skin disorder is marked by pruritus, erythema, edema, and exudative lesions. Furthermore, AD affects up to 25% of children under 7 years old, making it one of the most common chronic disorders (2).

Global loss of mountain vegetated landscapes and its impact on biodiversity conservation - Nature Communications
Abstract Accelerating human encroachment and natural disasters are causing substantial loss of mountain vegetated landscapes, threatening biodiversity conservation and ecosystem sustainability. The global-scale quantification of the magnitude, variability and drivers of the loss of mountain vegetated landscapes, and its impact on biodiversity conservation, however, has been lacking.

Fertilization-induced synergid cell death by RALF12-triggered ROS production and ethylene signaling - Nature Communications
Abstract Fertilization-dependent elimination of the persistent synergid cell is essential to block supernumerary pollen tubes and thus to avoid polyspermy in flowering plants. Little is known about the molecular mechanisms ensuring timely induction and execution of synergid cell death.
LncRNA SNHG1 regulates muscle stem cells fate through Wnt/β‐catenin pathway
Skeletal muscle stem cells (MuSCs) played an important role in maintaining the proper function of muscle tissues. In adults, they normally remained in a quiescent state and activated upon stimulation to undergo self-renewal or myogenic differentiation. This process was complexly regulated by cytokines, and the molecular mechanisms that promoted MuSCs activation remained largely unknown.

Identification and validation of COL6A1 as a novel target for tumor electric field therapy in glioblastoma
1 INTRODUCTION Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) represents the most aggressive malignant primary brain tumor, accounting for 50.1% of all intracranial neoplasms, with a 5-year survival rate of only 6.9%.1 The current standard of care for GBM consists of surgical resection followed by concomitant radiotherapy and alkylating chemotherapy with temozolomide (TMZ), succeeded by sixcycles of adjuvant TMZ.2, 3 However, over the past two decades, therapeutic advancements for GBM have been modest, with...

Gut Microbiota‐Derived 3‐Hydroxybutyrate Blocks GPR43‐Mediated IL6 Signaling to Ameliorate Radiation Proctopathy
1 Introduction For decades, radiotherapy has been an important component of both curative and palliative care for cancer patients, but it is also associated with serious unfavorable side effects.[1] Radiation proctopathy (RP), a frequent side effect of radiation therapy for pelvic malignancies (such as tumors of the bladder, testes, prostate, rectum, cervix, and uterus) with high incidence (50–75% of patients receiving pelvic radiotherapy experience RP symptoms), is characterized by...

Abstract Radiotherapy-induced prodrug activation provides an ideal solution to reduce the systemic toxicity of chemotherapy in cancer therapy, but the scope of the radiation-activated protecting groups is limited. Here we present that the well-established photoinduced electron transfer chemistry may pave the way for developing versatile radiation-removable protecting groups.
