At least 188 people are dead and thousands remain missing after a pair of earthquakes hit northern Venezuela Wednesday, the strongest to strike the country in more than a century. The magnitude-7.5 and 7.2 quakes caused widespread devastation, and rescue efforts are underway Thursday to find survivors trapped in the rubble. Rescue teams, including first responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, continue to pull victims from debris fields, some alive and others dead.

LA Metro launches $1.75 shuttle plan for World Cup fans Original

If you’re headed to SoFi Stadium for the World Cup, LA Metro has added special bus service to help fans get there while saving money. The transit agency has designated 15 shuttle locations across the region that will transport fans to SoFi, which was temporarily renamed Los Angeles Stadium for the World Cup. World Cup fans can save money by taking a shuttle to SoFi Stadium.

New video shows suspect after ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ actor James Handy stabbed to death

Neighbors are speaking out about the suspect in the violent stabbing death Wednesday of a veteran actor known for a recent role in “Top Gun: Maverick,” as new video surfaced of him leaving the scene following the attack. According to police, 81-year-old James Handy was allegedly killed by his girlfriend’s son outside their home in Tarzana. The suspect has been identified as 44-year-old Michael Gledhill. Newly obtained video from TMZ appears to show Gledhill moments after the fatal stabbing.
