Karina Ramirez’s Biography

I am presently the Vice President of People & Culture at an environmental organization.

Formerly I was an independent journalist focusing on stories that gear toward social change. My last journalist work was as a multimedia reporter for Al Día, the Spanish-language paper of the Dallas Morning News for three years. Prior to working at Al Día, I was a staff writer and social media manager for El Hispano News in Dallas and I also spent six years as business reporter; three of them as a Sunday columnist for Denton Record-Chronicle. I was fascinated with the world of storytelling and how that impacts people's lives.

I am a supporter of Latino writers and journalists. I am a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the former president of the Hispanic Communicators D/FW, the North Texas chapter of that organization.
