PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) -- A suspect is in custody following an hours-long standoff with police at an apartment complex in Porterville. It all started at 7 pm Thursday at the Park View Village Apartments on Springville Avenue near Oak View Street when police were searching for 21-year-old Rosendo Gutierrez. Porterville Police Chief Bobby Rader says Gutierrez was wanted for multiple crimes, including domestic violence and burglaries.

Investigators believe the 13-year-old was responsible for the shooting. The boy was booked into the Juvenile Justice Campus on a manslaughter charge rather than homicide as the investigation continues.
