Here's The Thing About Lala Kent's Supposed New Fling
On the Vanderpump Rules reunion, Lala Kent had to bear the brunt of even more public humiliation. After her October breakup – sparked by the photos of ex-fiancé Randall Emmett with two young women – ended up being just the tip of the iceberg of the cheating rumors that would follow. Some of which were talked about on that reunion stage.
Jen Shah Is An Alleged Felon, But Whitney Rose Is The Worst Cast Member
Before you judge me, let me explain. Jen Shah is due in court soon where they will find her guilty or not for wire fraud and money laundering.
Che Diaz Isn't Even The Worst Character On 'AJLT,' Let Alone TV
In a world where we are fighting for more queer representation in the media, Che Diaz has somehow been deemed the "worst character on TV" by The Daily Beast, and a lot of the Sex and the City fanbase. The character has their flaws – sure. But to name the only non-binary person of color on the show the "worst" feels unwarranted, especially when the same show has missed the mark in so many other ways.
Kyle Richards & Betsy Brandt On Unique Christmas Traditions & 'The Housewives Of The North Pole'
The Housewives of the North Pole may be about decking the halls with boughs of holly, but this Peacock original movie is more cutthroat than any Housewives episode (reunion or otherwise) you've ever seen.
Watch & Comment On The 'RHOBH' Reunion Tonight, Live!
We've reached part three of the four part Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion and tonight, Andy Cohen asks Erika Jayne point blank if she knew anything about the alleged crimes Tom Girardi allegedly committed. In fact, Andy tells Erika, "You come off as you're the victim." Bring. It. Tonight, we'll be live-chatting about everything that goes down.
Cody Rigsby Models For Beyonce Now
ByKaya WilsonOct. 23, 2021 share Week after week, Cody Rigsby has faced hurdles on Dancing With The Stars. From low scores to a breakthrough case of COVID, he’s been struggling on and off the shiny floor. Little did we know, though, he had something else brewing behind the scenes.
Did Lala & Randall Break Up? Here's What We Know
Seeing Lala Kent and Randall Emettt's on-screen relationship on Vanderpump Rules gave me hope that the two of them were absolutely in it for the long haul. Randall, with his wisdom and patience and an eagerness to buy expensive gifts, seemed to be a great match for Lala – but now, after this weekend's social media swirl, did Lala and Randall break up?
7 Red Flags In 42 Minutes
ByKaya WilsonOct. 13, 2021 share Even if you're just an average Vanderpump Rules watcher, you've had your Sche-wakening and came to realize that Scheana Marie has always been the most genuine one on the show. Her only fault is trying to be everyone's friend and, yeah, being a bit obsessive. Which leads me to her soon-to-be husband/baby-daddy/rude marsupial, Brock Davies. From Instagram and Scheana's vlogs, I thought she had met her match.
The 'RHOSLC' Trailer Gives Us Jen Shah Drama, But More Importantly, It Gives Us A Premiere Date
ByKaya WilsonAug. 13, 2021 share WHAT A RUSH. THE REAL HOUSE – sorry, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 2 trailer has dropped and as you can read, I am losing my complete shit. The 2 minute and 38 second clip includes absolutely everything that you can ask for – including the news that Season 2 premieres September 12 at 9 p.m. ET – and some things you wouldn't even imagine. Scammin' (allegedly), cults, dildos, sister wives... it's a lot.
The Trans Experience Is An Integral Part Of Feminism
"My body now walks a path of dual narratives. I hold the history of trauma and patriarchy. I am also viewed as a man in public space." I was on the South Coast, collecting wave data for a colleague’s PhD, when Eurydice Dixon was raped and murdered. We were working early mornings and long days, sharing a room with other tired people. Things kept breaking down. It was windy and cold and internet reception was intermittent.
Sydney Writers' Festival - Queerstories
Join Maeve Marsden for a special Sydney Writers’ Festival edition of Queerstories. Fast becoming a national institution, Queerstories was born from a desire to hear the stories LGBTQI+ people want to tell: tales of lives well lived, battles fought, pride, prejudice, love, humour and everything in-between. There’s more to being queer than coming out. Featuring guests Alistair Baldwin, Krissy Kneen, Rebecca Starford, Alison Whittaker and Kaya Wilson.
Sydney Writers' Festival - Sarah Dingle & Kaya Wilson
Two new memoirs explore the discovery of long-held family secrets and their resounding intergenerational effects on how we understand ourselves. When Kaya Wilson came out to his parents as transgender, a year after a near-death surfing accident and just weeks before his father’s death, he was met with a startling family history of concealed queerness and shame.
Trying to Breathe: Lukas Dhont’s 'Girl' — Kill Your Darlings
Victor Polster in Girl. Image: Match Factory Editor’s note: This piece contains spoilers for Girl, as well as discussion and explicit description of self-harm. The sense of responsibility in the portrayal of transgender narratives is a complex one. We are a community in need of representation, with a history of misrepresentation. Public hunger for our stories also continues to grow. There is a fascination with accessing intimacy to the unknown.
Triggered: new insights into deep earthquakes
Deep earthquakes are rare, and not as well studied as their shallower and more destructive counterparts. barisonal/Getty Images The two largest ever recorded deep earthquakes in the Tonga-Fiji subduction zone occurred just days apart. Now researchers have found that it is highly likely the first one caused the second. Earthquakes occurring deeper than 350 kilometres below the Earth’s surface are relatively infrequent and little is known about their rupture mechanisms.
Deciphering the ancient mysteries of ‘marine snow’
The White Cliffs of Dover in England are made of marine snow. Sarah Casado Thomas / EyeEm/Getty Images Ocean-warming over the past century may be impacting one of the largest but least understood components in the global carbon cycle: massive deep-sea deposits of "marine snow". The term is used to describe organic matter and detritus falling to the ocean floor. The material functions as Earth’s largest carbon sink and is the main mechanism of carbon dioxide removal from the oceans and atmosphere.
Mountains taller than the Himalayas found 660 kilometres
Ama Dablam in the Himalayas is big, but bigger mountains exist deep underground. hadynyah/Getty Images Seismologists have discovered huge mountains 660 kilometres underground, following a massive earthquake in Bolivia. The nature of the Earth’s interior has long been debated by scientists, given the difficulties of imaging the different layers. Using the shock waves caused by massive earthquakes and a global network of seismic instruments, a complex terrain of mountain ranges has been revealed.
Yes, a tsunami could hit Sydney - causing flooding and dangerous currents
Sulawesi’s recent tsunami is a striking reminder of the devastating, deadly effects that the sudden arrival of a large volume of water can have. Published today, our new research shows what might happen if a tsunami hit Sydney Harbour. A large tsunami could cause significant flooding in Manly. Even very small waves might result in dangerous currents in the entrance of the Harbour and in narrow channels such as at the Spit Bridge.

A foolproof guide to writing about trans people (if you aren't one)
Trans voices and trans lives are gaining increasing exposure in the mainstream media, and to many they feel new. As with all newness there is ignorance, and with ignorance comes recurring offence and damage. To help avoid this, Kaya Wilson has put together a foolproof guide for journalists and publishers to follow: Mention Caitlyn Jenner and the “transgender tipping point” in your intro. Being trans is a full-time job.
Pronoun Badges and Poster Bois: A review of the new CheckOUT LGBTIQ+ Sexual Health Clinic
"As I met the staff, wearing their pronoun badges and handing out tea in feminist mugs, it was clear to see that the clinic is a safe space for them too." It was the Tuesday after Mardi Gras when I went along to the new CheckOUT LGBTIQ+ Sexual Health Clinic, which offers cervical and STI screening for our community. This is a tender time to do anything, let alone get your sexy tests done, and I arrived at the door already questioning my choices.
Exploration of seafloor reveals potential for future tsunamis in Australia
IT IS OFTEN said that we know more about the surface of other planets than we do about our own deep ocean. To overcome this problem, we embarked on a voyage on CSIRO’s research vessel, the Southern Surveyor, to help map Australia’s continental slope – the region of seafloor connecting the shallow continental shelf to the deep oceanic abyssal plain. The majority of our seafloor maps depict most of the ocean as blank and featureless (and the majority still do!).
Scars left by Australia's undersea landslides reveal future tsunami potential

Making waves: the tsunami risk in Australia
Australians are well versed in the homegrown natural hazards that we encounter every year, from bushfires in summer to storms in winter, cyclones up north and flooding along our rivers. But we don’t often stop to consider the threat posed by tsunamis. Should we? Tsunamis are essentially a series of waves in the ocean. Where regular waves are caused by wind, tsunamis are caused by the large-scale vertical displacement of the water column.
