The power of pressure
Fr Alvan Ibeh takes a look at the power of pressure in his latest Voice of Hope column. Someone seeing the headline of this column might wonder if I am sure what I am up to. This is because, as human beings, pressure is not one of those things we like to have in our lives. No one goes to God in prayer and asks God to give them pressure in their lives. All of us will want to live stress and pressure-free lives.

Mo Mowlam would have been the ideal leader for a drug reform movement – LabourList
Kelly Grehan wrote movingly about the importance of not forgetting Mo Mowlam’s extraordinary contribution to the peace in Northern Ireland on the 15th anniversary of her death. I had the good fortune to have briefly dealt with her in another area where, if she had lived, I believe she might have also made a real difference – drug reform. Whilst serving as a minister in the Cabinet Office from 1999 to 2001, her main responsibility was coordinating the government’s drugs policy.

Plug and Play Automation in Biomanufacturing - BioProcess International
Figure 1: Physical and procedural model implementation based on principle 88 of International Society for Automation (ISA) standards for batch process control Automation can improve efficiency, track performance, adjust operations, and liberate operators from mundane routines. Automation requires a flexible set of tools that align well with the inherent flexibility of single-use technology (SUT).
Camel milk reduces cell inflammation associated with type 2 diabetes
The current trend for certain foods and dietary components to be called “superfoods” is frequently associated with exotic and expensive products. But there are no set criteria to determine a food’s “superness” – and claims rarely have any scientific basis. It is usually simply a (often very successful) marketing ploy. Take camel milk for example.
Plug-and-Play Automation in Single-Use Technology - BioProcess International
The biopharmaceutical industry’s movement away from large-scale, fixed-tank facilities to flexible facilities featuring single-use technologies (SUTs) has demonstrated the value of modular equipment and agile process design. SUTs have proven to be clear advantages to end users because those technologies enable quick facility build and changeover times. But linking SUT equipment with equally flexible automative technology has been difficult.

Unruly Characters: A Conversation with Kelly Link and Keith Lee Morris
Kelly Link and I go back a long way. We met in the MFA program at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro when I arrived there in 1994, and soon found out that we were kindred spirits in terms of fiction — we were both working somewhat outside the bounds of realism at a time when realism held sway, and we sometimes shared material outside of workshop to get one another’s opinion. We continued our friendship after leaving the program.
IndiePulse Artist Spotlight Moe Green’s Eye
Hometown NYC Rockers Moe Green’s Eye have released new single to their arsenal of NYC nightclub scene hits, the track “WASTED” is a gritty and realist view of modern work life, it is a workers anthem, much like “Blue Collar Man” but with a streetwise edge and gutsy, punchy lyrics over true to heart Rock & Roll rhythms.

WE see a Bright Future for this group, Read about their new song and Video for Hello Mr Moonlight. In Review: Hello Mr Moonlight by Punketronic is a fitting tribute to David Bowie, written in a style very similar to what Bowie himself would have done. The track is bright and upbeat, while maintaining a bit of stoic and cryptic ambivalence to modern trend, this is a great opening to a band that is versed and talented and oh so UK.

Black Sails by Weesp: New heavy album from the band and new sound of signature style
Within the last few months rockers from Weesp treated their fans with newest singles while preparing to release of their studio album Black Sails which released last April. Dynamic, diverse and wholesome Black Sails album is a 40-minute trip that consists of 9 tracks and is full of heavy riffing, melodic ballads, anger, pain and hope. The album sounds much heavier in both music and lyrical sense but at the same time, it preserves the same bright emotional message that’s typical for Weesp.
IndiePulse Reviews: Psychopaths and Sycophants by Keith Morris
Keith Morris, American Singer and Songwriter has released his album, Psychopaths and Sycophants which, written in an Americana Folk / Rock Anthem style, is a strongly worded and powerfully driven tribute to both his Hometown of Charlottesville and to the people of this nation that reel under the administration of the 45th President of the United States and the obvious insurgence of scapegoat policies, open racism and the undoing of civil rights.
