The Women’s Tennis Association enacted a new regulation Sunday calling for all tour players to submit to SRY gene testing. It is reported to be the first time that a professional sports governing body outside of direct orbit of the International Olympic Committee has adopted such regulation.

FIFA’s first World Cup halftime show was a star-studded, chaotic mess

The FIFA World Cup had never before had a halftime show until this year. Now we know why. Produced by Global Citizen, with Live Nation and Done + Dusted, the show seemed to try to please everyone, taking a bunch of over-cooked spaghetti, throwing it against a wall, and then watching as almost nothing stuck. The multi-star performance started with a pre-recorded performance by Madonna singing her hit “Music.” To be fair, the video itself was pretty cool as far as music videos go.

Lucas Krzikalla is an out gay athlete in a sport that doesn’t get much publicity in the United States: handball. But just because Americans don’t know much about it doesn’t mean Krzikalla isn’t deserving of attention. And with those Speedo pics he’s been sharing, he’ll certainly get it! He came out as gay in a 2022 documentary on a German broadcasting network and is currently unsigned by a team after spending his entire career with SC DHfK Leipzig.
