Monday morning several non-profits and community members met at First Christian Church to talk about local food support. The goal of the meeting was to see what resources are available and how they can be used to help combat those who may not be aware of what is happening. Several suggestions were made and many left feeling that that help and hope is on the way.

The family run restaurant and bakery makes homemade food based off of recipes specific to their region of Colombia. “When we first opened, the first thing that people would say is, ‘I don’t know anything about Colombian food,'” Owner Liliana Rios said.

Greenville First Responders Honor 9/11 Victims with Tribute Stair Climb

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Greenville-area first responders honored the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by participating in a symbolic tribute climb at Towne Bank Tower at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The Greenville-area first responders included GPD, GFR, and ECU PD. The participants ascended the west stairwell of the tower in full uniform, carrying a United States flag that was unfurled at the rooftop.
