ALERT DAYS THROUGH THURSDAY FOR EXTREME HEAT AND HUMIDITY. This will be the hottest week so far this year, and also very humid. Tropical air will increase across mid-Michigan today. Look for a mix of sun and clouds with highs surrounding 90 degrees. It will feel hotter, due to the very humid air, with heat index values near 100 degrees. Limit outdoor activities and be sure to stay hydrated. Overnight lows won't offer much relief, as we hold in the mid 70s.

Today is the last day of the week with cooler than normal weather...

Today will be the last day of cooler than normal weather, as a heat wave moves in next week. Morning fog burns off, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low to mid 70s at best. Look for partly cloudy skies overnight, with comfortable lows in the low to mid 50s. We'll see lots of sunshine to start our weekend on Saturday. Afternoon highs will top out in the upper 70s to around 80. Our weekend closes on Sunday with lots of sunshine and low to mid 80s.

Spotty showers and thunderstorms are expected today

Today will be very similar to yesterday, with some spotty showers and thunderstorms. Afternoon temperatures stay below normal, in the low to mid 70s. Overnight, patchy fog is possible, as we settle back to the mid 50s. We'll see mostly cloudy to partly sunny conditions Friday, with one last day of cooler than normal temperatures, in the mid 70s. More sunshine is expected, along with hotter weather over the weekend. We'll surround 80 degrees on Saturday with low to mid 80s Sunday.
