Mission Accessibility's Award for Best Disability Rights Journalism

2025 - Outstanding Journalism in Disability Rights

Mission Accessibility is an organisation that works on advancing the rights of persons with disabilities and provides pro-bono and low bono legal representation to persons with disabilities in courts and tribunals across India. As part of the International Purple Festival Goa, 2025, the Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of Goa, organised a conference on the "Legal Rights and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities" curated by Mission Accessibility on 11th October, 2025, at the Bombay High Court (Goa Bench) in the presence of then Supreme Court judge Abhay S. Oka. The organisation also kept an award to recognise individuals and institutions taking significant strides towards the inclusion of persons with disabilities in society, as part of which I was honoured with this award. In the previous years, Netflix India and Namma Yari have also been recipients of this award.
