1 Introduction Based on age-standardized rates, ovarian cancer ranked eighth in incidence and fifth in mortality among women worldwide in 2022, while in South Korea in 2024, it ranked seventh and eighth, respectively [1, 2]. In South Korea, the age-standardized incidence rate has increased from 5.1 to 7.8 per 100 000, reaching 3384 new cases in 2024, and the age-standardized mortality rate has also increased from 2.3 to 2.5 per 100 000 compared with 2005 [3].

INTRODUCTION Endometrial cancer is the most common malignancy affecting the female reproductive system in developed countries.1 Most cases are diagnosed at an early stage, with surgery being the primary treatment modality. Surgical management of endometrial cancer typically includes hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and lymph node removal. While lymph node removal can be beneficial for detecting cancer cells in lymph nodes and guiding adjuvant therapy, it is not without risks.
