Quality optimization with low positive factual hallucination for the HPI in hyperthyroidism admission notes using multi agent LLM with RAG
Abstract Admission note quality affects clinical safety and research reliability, yet resident drafts often suffer from missing information, unclear logic, and other issues, requiring time-consuming manual review. Current large language models (LLMs) focus on text generation or formatting correction but rarely optimize clinical logic or mitigate hallucinations in specialized notes.
Uncovering the mortality burden of lung cancer with documented sleep apnea in the United States: a 22-year population-based study
Abstract Background: Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide, and sleep apnea may identify a clinically vulnerable subgroup of patients with lung cancer. However, population-level mortality patterns involving lung cancer with documented sleep apnea remain unclear. This study examined long-term trends, disparities, geographic variation, socioeconomic patterns, and future projections of related mortality in the United States.
NanoTS: a deep learning tool for accurate SNP calling in nanopore long-read transcriptome data
Abstract Accurate variant detection using nanopore long-read transcriptome data remains challenging. Here we present NanoTS—a deep learning-based tool for single nucleotide polymorphism detection from diverse types of nanopore transcriptome sequencing data. NanoTS outperforms existing methods, achieving F1 scores above 0.980 and 0.966 on nanopore direct RNA and cDNA sequencing data, respectively, for single nucleotide polymorphisms with at least five supporting reads.

A High-Resolution, Long-Term, Comprehensive Climate Comfort Index Dataset for China (1961–2022)
Abstract Climate comfort constitutes a pivotal metric for assessing the influence of climate change on human leisure and tourism pursuits, while existing studies on climate comfort face notable limitations. First, the predominant approach relies on indices that incorporate only single meteorological variables, thereby restricting their capacity to encapsulate the holistic human perception of the climatic milieu.
Metagenomic next-generation sequencing in tuberculous periprosthetic joint infection: pathogen-detection yield and clinical characteristics compared with common bacterial PJI
Abstract Objective: To compare the pathogen-detection yield of metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) and conventional culture in tuberculous periprosthetic joint infection (TB-PJI) and common bacterial PJI (CB-PJI), and to characterize clinical differences and exploratory associations with TB-PJI.

Gallic acid exerts therapeutic effects on sciatica by reducing inflammatory responses through the regulation of NOX4-mediated oxidative stress
Abstract Background: Sciatica causes severe pain and impaired mobility. Neuroinflammation is involved in the development of sciatica. Purpose: This study aimed to explore whether Gallic acid (GA) reduces neuroinflammation to relieve sciatica by regulating NOX4-mediated oxidative stress. Methods: After scRNA-seq analysis was performed, 32 SD (Sprague-Dawley) rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: sham operation, chronic constriction injury (CCI), CCI+mecobalamin, and CCI+GA groups.
Efficacy and safety of different anti-VEGF agents combined with pars plana vitrectomy in proliferative diabetic retinopathy: a systematic review and network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Abstract Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of different anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) agents in combination with pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) for the treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR), in order to guide clinical decision-making. Methods: A systematic search was conducted in PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, and Web of Science for relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) up to November 1, 2025.
Dietary rhythms and biological aging risk across multiple organs
Abstract The effects of dietary rhythms on organ-specific biological aging remain unclear. This study analyzed 14,012 adults from NHANES to assess associations between dietary rhythms and biological aging of the body, heart, liver, and kidneys. Earlier last meals, specifically before 9 p.m., were linked to lower aging risks for the body, heart, and liver but not kidneys. The strongest protective effects were seen with meals between 3 and 5 p.m. for the body and heart, and 5–7 p.m. for the liver.

Quantifying Brain and Cognitive Maintenance as Key Indicators for Sustainable Cognitive Aging: Insights from the UK Biobank
Abstract : Age-related cognitive decline is a global phenomenon that affects individuals worldwide. The course and extent of this decline are influenced by numerous factors, such as genetics, lifestyle, education, and cognitive engagement. The theory of brain and cognitive reserve/maintenance posits that these factors have a significant impact on the degree of cognitive decline and overall brain health.
Sequence Variation of Candida albicans Sap2 Enhances Fungal Pathogenicity via Complement Evasion and Macrophage M2‐Like Phenotype Induction
Abstract Candida albicans (C. albicans) is an opportunistic pathogen increasingly causing candidiasis worldwide. This study aims to investigate the pattern of systemic immune responses triggered by C. albicans with disease associated variation of Sap2, identifying the novel evasion strategies utilized by clinical isolates. Specifically, a variation in clinical isolates is identified at nucleotide position 817 (G to T).
Genetic and Environmental Factors Influencing the Production of Select Fungal Colorants: Challenges and Opportunities in Industrial Applications
Abstract : Natural colorants, mostly of plant and fungal origins, offer advantages over chemically synthetic colorants in terms of alleviating environmental pollution and promoting human health. The market value of natural colorants has been increasing significantly across the globe. Due to the ease of artificially culturing most fungi in the laboratory and in industrial settings, fungi have emerged as the organisms of choice for producing many natural colorants.

A Convolutional Neural Network and Graph Convolutional Network Based Framework for AD Classification
Abstract : The neuroscience community has developed many convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Population graphs are thought of as non-linear structures that capture the relationships between individual subjects represented as nodes, which allows for the simultaneous integration of imaging and non-imaging information as well as individual subjects’ features.

Production of Fungal Pigments: Molecular Processes and Their Applications
Abstract : Due to the negative environmental and health effects of synthetic colorants, pigments of natural origins of plants and microbes constitute an abundant source for the food, cosmetic, textile, and pharmaceutical industries.
