Cleavage-stage stratification reveals the clinical and developmental potential of 0PN embryos compared with 2PN embryos in IVF
Abstract Background: Embryo selection remains a critical factor in optimizing outcomes in assisted reproductive technologies (ART). While 2PN embryos are considered the standard for transfer, the clinical potential of 0PN-derived embryos remains controversial. Emerging evidence suggests that cleavage-stage dynamics may play a key role in determining embryo viability.
Association of one-carbon metabolism-related nutrients with gestational diabetes mellitus stratified by MTNR1B polymorphisms in Chinese populations
Abstract This study aimed to explore the associations of melatonin receptor 1B (MTNR1B) genetic variants with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and to examine how MTNR1B single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) might influence the association between one-carbon metabolism (OCM)-related nutrients and GDM. This cross-sectional study analyzed 1,254 pregnant women for three SNPs (rs1387153, rs10830962, and rs10830963) in MTNR1B, as well as serum folate and vitamin B12.

Cytogenetic and Molecular Analysis of a “Double-Hit” RUNX1 Including a RUNX1 p.Trp279* and a Cryptic Novel t(6;21)(q25;q22)/ RUNX1 :: ARID1B in Acute Myeloid Leukemia
1 Introduction RUNX1 (at 21q22) encodes the alpha subunit of the core binding factor (CBF) transcription factor which binds to promoters and enhancers. The RUNX1 protein plays an important role in hematopoiesis, contributing to stem cell generation and differentiation into myeloid and lymphoid precursors [1]. The role of the RUNX1 protein depends on the quantity and characteristics of the different proteins that interact with it.
A high-quality chromosome-level genome assembly of apple of Peru ( Nicandra physalodes )
Abstract Nicandra physalodes, a member of the Solanaceae family, is known for its medicinal potential and strong natural insect-repellent properties, which are mainly attributed to its bioactive withanolides and alkaloids. Despite its ecological and pharmacological significance, genomic information for this species has remained limited. Here, we generated a chromosome-level reference genome for N. physalodes based on PacBio high-fidelity (HiFi) long-read sequencing and Hi-C scaffolding.
Efficacy and safety of commercial Chinese polyherbal preparations combined with biomedicine for elderly patients with primary insomnia: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Abstract Introduction: The prevalence of primary insomnia among the elderly is steadily increasing; however, robust evidence supporting the efficacy and safety of combining commercial Chinese polyherbal preparations (CCPPs) with biomedicine therapy remains insufficient.
Nuclear receptor corepressor 1 is a potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in clear cell renal cell carcinoma - Scientific Reports
Abstract This study investigates the potential of nuclear receptor corepressor 1 (NCOR1) as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Through the analysis of data from The Cancer Genome Atlas and Gene Expression Omnibus databases, along with immunohistochemical testing of clinical samples, this study revealed that NCOR1 expression was significantly downregulated in ccRCC tissues when compared to normal tissues.
Associations of abdominal obesity and plasma fatty acids with microvascular diseases
Abstract The independent and interactive associations of abdominal obesity and fatty acids with the risk of microvascular diseases (MVDs) are still unclear. We conducted a prospective cohort study of 88,571 participants aged 40-69 years from the UK Biobank. Plasma fatty acids were quantified at baseline using high-throughput nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and were analyzed in quartiles, with the lowest quartile of each fatty acid subtype as the reference.
Frontiers | Evaluation of programmed cell death ligand-1 expression in primary central nervous system lymphoma using whole-tumor histogram analysis of multiparametric MRI: implications for immunotherapy selection
Highlights ● Early non-invasive assessment of PD-L1 expression is critical for personalized immunotherapy. ● Multiparametric MRI-based whole-tumor histogram analysis effectively assesses PD-L1 expression in PCNSL. ● The combined model offers the highest diagnostic performance, aiding clinicians in immunotherapy decision-making for patients with PCNSL.
Effect of vitamin D deficiency on clinical pregnancy outcomes in women with polycystic ovary syndrome undergoing in vitro fertilization
Introduction Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), with a prevalence of 5%–20% in women of reproductive age, is a common reproductive endocrine disorder and a leading cause of female infertility (1, 2). PCOS commonly presents with a combination of oligo-anovulation, hyperandrogenism, and polycystic ovarian morphology. A subset of affected individuals also exhibits concomitant metabolic disturbances, including insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, and broader metabolic dysfunction.

Solid splenic lymphangioma: Unveiling an atypical presentation in lymphatic system malformations
We present a case study detailing the occurrence of splenic lymphangioma in a 9-year-old girl. The multimodal imaging revealed a significant mass, a finding subsequently validated through histopathological examination. This case underscores the importance of considering splenic lymphangioma as a rare but notable differential diagnosis for solid masses observed in imaging studies.

Piperine improves levodopa availability in the 6‐OHDA‐lesioned rat model of Parkinson's disease by suppressing gut bacterial tyrosine decarboxylase
Abstract Aim Tyrosine decarboxylase (TDC) presented in the gut-associated strain Enterococcus faecalis can convert levodopa (L-dopa) into dopamine (DA), and its increased abundance would potentially minimize the availability and efficacy of L-dopa. However, the known human decarboxylase inhibitors are ineffective in this bacteria-mediated conversion.
