Paeonol Ameliorates Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia via Suppressing Proliferation and NF-κB-In Silico and Experimental Studies.
Abstract <p>Background/Objectives: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a prevalent urological disorder in aging men, characterized by the enlargement of prostate epithelial and stromal cells, which leads to lower urinary tract symptoms. Paeonol, a bioactive compound derived from Moutan Cortex (Paeonia suffruticosa), exhibits multiple pharmacological properties; however, its therapeutic potential in BPH remains unclear.

Densenet201+ with multi-scale attention and deep feature engineering for automated Kellgren-Lawrence grading of knee osteoarthritis
Recent advances in artificial intelligence have transformed medical image analysis, with deep learning architectures demonstrating remarkable success in automated diagnosis tasks. Specifically for knee osteoarthritis (KOA) classification, convolutional neural networks have emerged as powerful tools capable of learning complex patterns from radiographic images that may be subtle or difficult for human observers to consistently identify (Zhou et al., 2021; Mahum et al., 2021).

EFNet: estimation of left ventricular ejection fraction from cardiac ultrasound videos using deep learning
The diagnosis and treatment of numerous cardiovascular illnesses relies heavily on cardiac ultrasound imaging. Using high-frequency sound waves, cardiac ultrasound, sometimes referred to as echocardiography, is a noninvasive diagnostic method for visualizing the structure and operation of the heart (Lindner, 2009; Čelutkienė et al., 2020).
The usefulness of peri-trigger female reproductive hormones (delta-FRH) in predicting oocyte maturation in normal ovarian reserve patients who received in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer: a retrospective study
IVF-ET has emerged as a highly effective approach for treating infertility, experiencing rapid advancements in recent decades (Ashkenazi et al., 2000; Capper et al., 2022; Fisch et al., 1990). Optimizing protocols to obtain a larger number of viable and mature oocytes is crucial for achieving positive pregnancy outcomes (Ganer Herman et al., 2022; Kummer et al., 2013; O’Brien, Wingfield & O’Shea, 2019).
iTRAQ-based proteomic analysis reveals the effect of ribosomal proteins on essential-oil accumulation in Houttuynia cordata Thunb.
H. cordata wild type plants were grown in medical plant garden of pharmacy college, Navy Medical University, under the natural climate. Different tissues samples for flower, stem, leave and underground-stem were collected from flourishing plants in summer. They were put in a 1.5 ml tube and immediately in liquid nitrogen and stored at −80 °C until further use. The RNA of flower, stem, leave and underground-stem tissues were extracted by Trizol kit as described.

Comprehensive transcriptional analysis of pig facial skin development
In this study, 12 Chenghua sows from four different development periods, including 3-days-old, 90-days-old, 180-days-old, and 3-years-old, were selected as experimental animals, and three pigs from the same litter were considered as the biological replicates per development period. All pigs were divided into four experimental groups according to the development periods, which included the D3 group, D90 group, D180 group and the Y3 group. The piglets were weaned at the age of 28 ± 1 day.

MicroRNA-154-5p suppresses cervical carcinoma growth and metastasis by silencing Cullin2 in vitro and in vivo
Discussion Cervical cancer is a disease mainly caused by HPV infection and has the highest mortality rate among women worldwide. Blocking the key molecules in the pathogenesis of cervical cancer triggered by HPV infection can help optimize the treatment strategy and develop new targeted therapy drugs (Fleischmann et al., 2021). In the process of HPV infection and cervical cancer progression, the epigenetic mechanism of miRNA regulation of related genes has come into focus.

The effect of combined dietary supplementation of herbal additives on carcass traits, meat quality, immunity and cecal microbiota composition in Hungarian white geese
Discussion In recent years, the emergence of antibiotic resistance and antibiotic residues in food has become serious issues. Antibiotics are gradually banned as growth promoters in animal husbandry. Therefore, to develop antibiotic alternatives is of great interest and urgent for livestock industry. Herbal feed additives have become more common in the poultry industry nowadays (Gao et al., 2022).

Re-evaluation of the morphology and phylogeny of Diplocynodon levantinicum Huene & Nikoloff, 1963 and the stratigraphic age of the West Maritsa coal field (Upper Thrace Basin, Bulgaria)
Introduction Diplocynodon Pomel, 1848 is a genus of crocodilians exclusively known from European localities spanning nearly the whole Cenozoic from the upper Palaeocene to the end of the Middle Miocene Climatic Optimum (e.g., Buscalioni, Sanz & Casanovas, 1992; Brochu, 1999; Böhme, 2003; Delfino, Böhme & Rook, 2007; Delfino & Smith, 2012; Rio et al., 2020).
Rapid discrimination of the native medicinal plant Adenostemma lavenia from its adulterants using PCR-RFLP
Discussion Differentiating Al from its adulterants is a critical issue because in Taiwan, Al is not only a native cultivated plant but also plays a crucial role in herbal tea, possessing value for lung protection and treatment (Cheng, Hufford & Doorenbos, 1979; Lin, 2013). Furthermore, the bioactive diterpene ingredients of Al have significant anti-inflammatory effects in pneumonia that may result from COVID-19 (Chen et al., 2019; Maeda et al., 2021).

Acupuncture for pain: an overview of Cochrane reviews.
OBJECTIVE: Cochrane reviews have the reputation for being more transparent and rigorous than other reviews. The aim of this overview was to evaluate and summarize Cochrane reviews of acupuncture for the treatment of any type of pain. METHODS: We searched the Cochrane Database and evaluated the Cochrane reviews that were concerned specifically with the effectiveness of acupuncture for pain. Data were extracted according to pre-defined inclusion criteria by two independent reviewers.
High prevalence of mutant KRAS in circulating exosome-derived DNA from early-stage pancreatic cancer patients
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) composes 85% of all pancreatic malignancies and is associated with a dismal 5-year survival of 6% [1, 2]. While cancer prevention initiatives and advances in targeted therapies have produced tangible survival improvements in breast, colon, and lung cancers, long-term PDAC survival remains poor and the nature of the disease does not readily present opportunities for screening and early detection [3–8].
Recommendations on the echocardiographic assessment of aortic valve stenosis: a focused update from the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging and the American Society of Echocardiography | European Heart Journal - Cardiovascular Imaging | Oxford
Aortic stenosis (AS) has become the most common primary heart valve disease and an important cause of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Echocardiography is the key tool for the diagnosis and evaluation of AS, and is the primary non-invasive imaging method for AS assessment. Diagnostic cardiac catheterization is no longer recommended1–3 except in rare cases when echocardiography is non-diagnostic or discrepant with clinical data.
Clinical and imaging features of fludarabine neurotoxicity.
Neurotoxicity from intravenous fludarabine is a rare but recognized clinical entity. Its brain imaging features have not been extensively described. Three patients received 38.5 mg or 40 mg/m per day fludarabine in a 5-day intravenous infusion before bone marrow transplantation in treatment of hematopoietic malignancies. Several weeks later, each patient developed progressive neurologic decline, including retrogeniculate blindness, leading to coma and death.
