ARP, Texas (KLTV) - The Arp Strawberry Festival will take place on May 9 and promises to be fun for East Texans of all ages. There will be more than 100 vendor booths offering unique crafts, mouth-watering food, and local goods that will “happily empty your wallet in the best way possible,” according to the event planners.

JASPER, Texas (KTRE) - The Jasper Public Library is putting a literary twist on a classic ’60s vibe with “Bookstock,” a new book festival aimed at spotlighting independent authors and storytellers from across East Texas. Library Director Lindsay Cox said the idea came from a patron who messaged the library’s Facebook page suggesting an indie book fair. Since then, about 20 authors from the region — stretching as far as Beaumont — have signed on to participate.
