A New York Times Student Journalism Institute alum, he has been published in Reason, Carolina Journal, Baltimore Business Journal, Washington Blade and Washington Examiner among others.

He studied Politics, Policy, and International Affairs at the University of Baltimore where he was editor-in-chief of the student news publication, The Sting.

New Hampshire’s “bell-to-bell” classroom cellphone ban has earned strong marks from teachers, according to a survey of the state’s educators. The survey, conducted by the New Hampshire Department of Education, included more than 1,000 teachers and 150 administrators. The results were good news for Gov. Kelly Ayotte, who made banning cellphones in New Hampshire schools a central priority of her first term.

Why did you become a journalist?

I hated working in politics but wanted meaningful work that impacted people's lives. Journalism fit!

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes, but wasn't there for long. The instructor kicked me off and told me I would never be a journalist. Funny enough, I'm the only one.
