Fitness and Morphology Support Genetic Differentiation Across Different Geographic Scales in a Native Insect Utilising Native vs. Invasive Host Plants
1 Introduction Invasive alien species are significant drivers of global change, impacting biodiversity across all levels of organisation, from genes to ecosystems (IPBES 2023). While invasive species often outcompete and displace native species, some natives may co-exist with them. Native species may tolerate, evade, or utilise invasives through behavioural plasticity (Ghalambor et al. 2007) or rapid evolutionary responses (Carroll 2011).

Merek Charney received a forfeit at 113 pounds. Laden Sampson followed at 126 pounds with a hard-fought match that went the distance, but left Sampson defeated 7-4.

Sampson represents Rams at final quad
By Coach Levi Brown The Akron High School Wrestling Team traveled to Merino on Saturday for a quick quad with Stratton, Simla and Byers. Unfortunately, the weights did not match up well and the only match Akron received was between Laden Sampson (132# junior) and Simla. Laden made short work of his competition, running the score up 14-0 before pinning him in the first period. The Akron Junior High Wrestling Team also traveled to Merino for their league competition last Thursday.
Ram wrestlers look impressive in early action

Ban youth football
In March 2018, two California state lawmakers proposed a bill banning organized tackle football before high school. New York, Illinois, Maryland and New Jersey have also drafted – with varying success – their own plans to ban the youth sport. The proposed bans follow a slew of medical studies warning about the risk football poses to professional players and youth, specifically chronic traumatic encephalopathy or CTE. High Blood Pressure? These Potassium-Rich Foods Can Help Lower It
Healthy blood pressure isn't only about sodium. In a Chinese study, people who often ate fresh fruit had lower systolic blood pressure than those who rarely did. Potassium may be the key: It helps recruit molecules that return sodium to your blood, so you flush out more sodium as a result. That usually leads to lower blood pressure, says USC's Alicia McDonough, Ph.D. The mineral also relaxes blood vessel walls, which helps lower blood pressure.
