The $65 million project, which continues to be a hot topic for many Davidson County residents, includes 8 baseball and 8 soccer fields, a 4.5 acre water park, a 50,000-square-foot recreation/aquatics center, concession stands, walking trails, parking and a RV campground.
A large crowd of people attended the Monday night meeting of the Davidson County Commissioners to voice their concern about the recent property revaluation notices that they received. Several people said that their recent property values have skyrocketed, some as much as 90% or even doubling, since the last county reval in 2021. A Lexington firefighter involved in the deadly shooting of his estranged wife, who was a Lexington police officer, has died.
