Entecavir plus Fuzheng Huayu Compound Reduces the Risk of Portal Hypertension-related Complications in Patients with Compensated Hepatitis B Virus-related Cirrhosis: A Post Hoc Analysis Based on Two Randomized Controlled Trials
Cirrhosis is an important cause of mortality among patients with chronic liver disease, accounting for 1 million deaths every year globally. Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is the major cause of cirrhosis worldwide. Portal hypertension, the major complication of cirrhosis, is the pivotal mechanism driving the transition from compensated to decompensated cirrhosis, defined by the presence of ascites, variceal bleeding, hepatic encephalopathy, or hepatorenal syndrome.
SMC1A is required for fate determinations of human spermatogonial stem cells and male fertility by interacting with YBX1 and stabilizing HMGA2 mRNA via an m 5 C modification
Abstract Spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) are required for initiating and maintaining normal spermatogenesis, and notably, they have significant applications in both reproductive and regenerative medicine owing to their great plasticity with de-differentiation and trans-differentiation potentials. Nevertheless, molecular mechanisms regulating human SSC fate determinations and male fertility remain elusive.
Comprehensive analysis of senescence-associated secretory phenotype-related signature for predicting prognosis and immunotherapy response in cervical cancer
Cervical cancer (CESC) is a common malignancy in women. The senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) contributes to tumor progression. We developed and validated a 7-gene SASP-related prognostic signature (PTPRB, RBM38, WNT3A, TNF, SPP1, ROR1, and MEIS2) using TCGA and GEO datasets. Patients in the low-risk group exhibited a more favorable prognosis and distinct immune infiltration patterns. TIDE analysis indicated a more favorable predicted immunotherapy response in the low-risk group.

Aurka-Bhlhe41 axis prevents premature aging-like microglial dysfunction and promotes remyelination
|
Abstract Aging accelerates central nervous system remyelination failure and neurodegeneration. Microglia promote remyelination by phagocytosing myelin debris, but this function is impaired by aging-related CD22 upregulation. However, the molecular mechanisms counteracting premature aging-related microglial dysfunction and remyelination impairment remain unclear.

Information Needs for HPV Vaccination Among Different Female Population Groups in China - Scientific Reports
Abstract The current HPV vaccination rate among women is still relatively low, especially among adolescent girls aged 9–14 years. Insufficient access to HPV vaccine information is one of the important reasons, but there is a lack of research on women’s HPV vaccine information needs. What information do women truly need to support their decision to receive the HPV vaccine? The similarities and differences in the needs of different women are key issues worth studying.
MiR-1 mediates autophagy via ATG14 in sheep Leydig cells infected with Brucella melitensis strain BA0711
Abstract Brucella spp. achieve intracellular parasitism by hijacking host autophagy pathways. Sheep Leydig cells (SLCs) are important intracellular parasitic target cells for Brucella melitensis (B. melitensis). To investigate the molecular regulatory network induced by B. melitensis in SLCs, particularly whether the autophagic pathway response differs from that in other cell types, transcriptome sequencing analysis was performed on SLCs treated with B. melitensis BA0711.
Dysregulated interferon signaling and hyperinflammation upon FCGBP knockdown in goat bronchial epithelial cells infected with Pasteurella multocida
Abstract Introduction: The Fc gamma binding protein (FCGBP) is pivotal for mucosal immune defense against Pasteurella multocida (P. multocida), a key pathogen that induces respiratory ailments in ruminants. However, the mechanism by which FCGBP modulates the pulmonary immune response following infection remains unclear. Methods: This study investigated the role of FCGBP in the immune response of goat bronchial epithelial cells against P. multocida infection.

MK5 Regulates Microglial Activation and Neuroinflammation in Experimental Stroke Models
1 Introduction Stroke is a leading cause of disability and the second most common cause of death worldwide [1]. The most prevalent type, ischemic stroke, accounts for 75%–90% of all cases, and its incidence is rising due to an aging population [2]. Despite advancements in intravenous and mechanical thrombolysis, which have somewhat improved recovery in ischemic stroke patients, treatment options remain extremely limited due to the narrow “time window” for these therapies [3].

Suppressing dipolar relaxation in thin layers of dysprosium atoms - Nature Communications
Abstract The dipolar interaction can be attractive or repulsive, depending on the position and orientation of the dipoles. Constraining atoms to a plane with their magnetic moment aligned perpendicularly leads to a largely side-by-side repulsion and generates a dipolar barrier which prevents atoms from approaching each other. We show experimentally and theoretically how this can suppress dipolar relaxation, the dominant loss process in spin mixtures of highly magnetic atoms.
