The voices echoed through the sanctuary of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church one last time as they celebrated the final mass. For generations, this Church wasn’t just where people worshipped — it was where life happened. “I’m very emotional. I grew up here. I’ve gone to church here my entire life, which has been 29 years. And in 2015, I sort of took over as the organist,” Alec Ring, Church organist, said.

Teachers share importance of new contract at Boardman board meeting BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Boardman School Board met Monday to discuss staffing, facility projects and the upcoming school year. Nearly 60 teachers filled the meeting room. Their contract expires at 11:59 Tuesday night. Members of the teachers' union say they came to show the board they care and that reaching a new contract is important. The board later went into executive session but said no action would be taken tonight.
