Residents of Virginia-Highland are frustrated after 12 months of trying to catch a masked man who has been videotaped skulking around homes, exposing himself in the early hours of the morning. The perpetrator – a white male wearing a black hoodie and black facemark – was first noticed in July 2025. Since then, his increased activity has been reported to the Atlanta Police Department but he remains at large. He was last seen on July 10.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a federal lawsuit against an Atlanta-area plumbing company, accusing the business of firing a customer service representative because she was pregnant. The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, targets Guice Services Inc., which does business as Rooter ProXpress and provides plumbing services throughout metro Atlanta.

What was your first job as a journalist?

I was the community news writer for a weekly newspaper in Boston. I wrote obits and wedding announcements until they trusted me with news.

Yes! In high school I used a typewriter for fun.

I worked for my high school newspaper and college newspaper. It was the thrill of chasing a deadline that hooked me.
