Disrupting the NAD + /NAM metabolic ratio driven by IL-1β inflammatory response potentiates chemotherapy and chemoimmunotherapy in mice
Abstract Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) replenishment sensitizes tumors to immunotherapy. However, chemotherapy-induced NAD+ metabolic reprogramming remains poorly understood. Here, we show that chemotherapy induces a macrophage-dependent IL-1β inflammatory response and NAD+ metabolic reprogramming, thereby conferring chemoresistance via CD44.

Silicon solar cells with hybrid back contacts - Nature
Abstract Silicon solar cells are essential for sustainable energy but remain limited by efficiency losses, particularly in the fill factor1,2,3. Here we develop a hybrid interdigitated back-contact solar cell that combines advanced all-surface passivation with laser-treated tunnelling contacts. This approach achieves a power conversion efficiency of 27.81%, approaching 95% of the theoretical limit4.

Hierarchical ZSM-5 with Tunable Structure and Enhanced Mass Diffusion Hierarchical zeolites offer improved mass transfer and catalytic performance, yet controlled synthesis remains challenging. We report a one-pot synthesis of size-tunable, rod-shaped aligned ZSM-5 (RA-ZSM-5) using tetraethylammonium and tetrabutylammonium hydroxides. The crystallization mechanism and improved mass diffusion associated with the hierarchical structure are elucidated.
