LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The monsoon season is here, and the district says they are ready for what lies ahead. “We don’t get a lot of rain here, but when we do, it always comes in droves,” said Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones. Jones says since the Regional Flood Control District was created, $2.5 billion has been spent on reducing flood threats during the monsoon period, which runs from mid-June until September.
