Two brothers – 3-year-old Kashh and 5-year-old Elijah – were reported missing Saturday before their bodies were discovered in a pond near their Daytona Beach apartment complex. Police say Elijah had autism and noted that many children with autism are drawn to water.

They agreed to move forward with a vote on a new STAR Bond district along 4th Street — the same financing tool recently in the spotlight over the Kansas City Chiefs’ stadium project. Commissioners will take a final vote on the roughly 50-acre district on Oct. 27.

Missouri launches midwife training program to expand rural maternal care
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri is working to bring more maternal care to rural communities where prenatal and delivery services are hard to find. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is partnering with the Department of Social Services and the University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing to train certified nurse midwives. There are currently no certified nurse midwife programs in Missouri.
