My first ‘real’ job in journalism was on a computer games magazine – Mac Action – sister title to the more well-known Mac World. This was back in ’96, ten years before the iPhone made Apple cool. It was great fun, taught me a lot about magazines, Macs and the publishing world. After a couple of years with IDG, and the shift from computer games to the emerging digital video industry, I moved into the more corporate world of contract publishing.
