Chinese solar manufacturer LONGi has announced that cumulative commercial shipments of its Back Contact (BC) solar modules have crossed 60 GW globally, a milestone the company says reflects the rapid transition of the technology from a premium offering to a mainstream solar generation platform. The company attributed the achievement to strong market demand during 2025, when it shipped 22.87 GW of BC products, followed by 8.34 GW in the first quarter of 2026.
