Yeast strains All experiments were performed using Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains of the W303 background. Strains were grown at 30 °C according to classical procedures in standard yeast extract peptone dextrose (YPD) or dropout base supplemented with the appropriate CSM-amino acid (MP Biomedicals, LCC) media. To induce ER stress, yeast cells were treated with 2 mM of dithiothreitol (DTT, VWR) or 1 μg/ml of tunicamycin (Tm, Sigma).
