NDR trauert um Dieter Glawischnig
Stand: 14.10.2026 17:22 Uhr Dieter Glawischnig ist tot. Der langjährige Chefdirigent der NDR Bigband verstarb am 1. Oktober im Alter von 88 Jahren. Mehr als ein Vierteljahrhundert prägte er die Musikerinnen und Musiker der NDR Bigband und führte das Ensemble gemeinsam mit NDR Redakteur Wolfgang Kunert in die Jazz-Moderne.

Glawischnig übernahm 1973 in Hamburg die Leitung der damaligen NDR-Studioband, entwickelte sie ab 1980 zur NDR Bigband weiter und rettete sie vor der Auflösung.
