Crathes Castle in Aberdeenshire rises beyond its sculpted yew hedges, a landmark of Deeside. The tower house remains a focal point for the region, layered with stories of home, stewardship and a connection to the land. Press and Journal photographer Darrell Benns explored the estate, capturing turrets, clipped topiary and the quiet geometry of the walled garden, before tracing the woodland paths beneath tall pines, at the property which is owned by the National Trust for Scotland.
