Trailblazers earn big win over East Rockingham at home

In a physical game that resulted in many fouls, Spotswood capitalized from the free-throw line, especially in the first quarter, when the Blazers hit 9 of 10 from the charity stripe to take a 16-9 lead after one period.

I Assume All Responsibility If My Child Jams a Bic Pen into Her School-Issued Chromebook
I understand I am responsible if my child renders her Chromebook a paper weight by mercilessly and giddily jamming a Bic pen into the power jack, creating a beautiful flash across the screen, and, if the TikToks are accurate, a slight puff of acrid smoke emanating from within.
Trailblazers coast to first-ever state win
PENN LAIRD — For the second time in the past three months, a Northside team made the trip to Penn Laird to take on Spotswood in a Virginia High School League Class 3 state tournament game. Cross-level moderation Team task interdependence may also strengthen the positive relationship between HAPA and thriving at the individual level. As argued previously, individuals who experience HAPA tend to develop a sense of thriving at work because their thoughts are broadened for both behavioral (e.g., agentic actions such as task focus, heedful relating, and exploration) and cognitive (e.g., learning) processes (Forgas & George, 2001; Fredrickson, 2003).
Top-Seeded Blazers Avoid Upset Against LCA
PENN LAIRD â With his team coming off a 10-day break and facing an unfamiliar opponent, Spotswood head coach Dan Atwell wasn't sure what to expect when his team hosted Liberty Christian Academy in the Region 3C boys soccer quarterfinals on Friday in Penn Laird. The No. 8 Bulldogs gave top-seeded Spotswood all it could handle in a defensive battle the entire way before the Trailblazers earned a hard fought 1-0 win.
INTO THE MOSH 054: CRUMB | WOLLONGONG | REVIEW AND PHOTO GALLERY — Futuremag Music
Words by Mark Griffin. I’m at UniBar at the University of Wollongong, which is always a slightly strange experience given how much time I spend on campus during the week. But it’s a good venue, so I don’t mind. I’m here to catch Crumb. I don’t know them too well, but my friend Cara is there, and she assures me they’re amazing. Having listened to them for a few days leading up to the gig I’m keen to see them live. They play a kind of shoe-gazey, dream-pop, sort of Beach House meets Mazzy Star.
EXTENDED PLAY 054: PACIFIC AVENUE - 'FLOWERS' | ALBUM REVIEW — Futuremag Music
Words by Mark Griffin. Listening to Pacific Avenue’s debut, Flowers, is a bit like stepping into a sonic time machine. I’m sure some will say it’s a ticket to the late ‘60s or early ‘70s flower power-era, but for me it was like the first time I heard Oasis’ Morning Glory or The Verve’s Urban Hymns, or any of those other late-90s early-00s bands that radio DJs called, ‘Beatles-esque’. Even more it reminds of Jet’s Get Born, with it’s 60s inspired melodies and distinctively Australian-twanged vocals.
INTO THE MOSH 051: THE 1975, WALLICE | QUDOS BANK ARENA | SYDNEY | GIG REVIEW — Futuremag Music
Words by Mark Griffin. “Your Girlfriend’s Favourite Band.” There’s been a lot of hype around The 1975’s latest tour. I feel like for the last month my TikTok feed has been Taylor Swift, Hayley Williams and Matty Healy of The 1975. The social media gods, or the algorithm at least, are definitely smiling on The 1975. Despite the hype, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I’m not a crazy The 1975 fan.
INTO THE MOSH 050: GABRIEL PARIS | THE FACTORY FLOOR SYDNEY | REVIEW — Futuremag Music
Words by Mark Griffin. Photography by Taylah Chapman. We’re at The Factory Theatre in Marrickville for Gabriel Paris. It’s a cool venue, heaps of outdoor space for the bar and food trucks and then a bunch of different sized theatres purposely built for live performances. The bar is well stocked, other than having Pepsi instead of Coke, and Island Boys are providing Sydney’s best jerk chicken. So, the pre-show vibes are solid.
Winterbourne Wollongong Gig Review — Futuremag Music
We turn to watching fellow local, Joe Mungovan, set up and both express disgust (jealousy) at just how talented he is. Joe drums in local duo, El Grande, and tonight is playing guitar and singing as a solo artist. It’s a stripped back presentation for Joe and he’s only joined by Evan Kerr on keys and backing vocals. I haven’t caught Joe like this before and… damn.
Knights Use Hot Start To Down Mustangs
BRIDGEWATER — Turner Ashby came out of the gate fast against Monticello Friday and then battled hard the rest of the way to earn a big 36-6 win over the Mustangs in a non-district high school football game. The Knights offense struck early with three first-half touchdowns and their defense played well on a warm, sunny evening at Sam Ritchie Stadium.

Rockets’ Alexander prefers to be the guy in charge
Published by sports@presspub... on Fri, 11/15/2019 - 10:23am It was around the second grade when Jac Alexander, Clay Schulte and Tyler May began to figure out they were a little bit more athletic than most of their Oak Harbor classmates. “Every year on the day of the Super Bowl, we would have a (school) flag football championship,” Alexander recalled. “They would do testing for the best athletes in the first, second and third grade. I think I won that twice.

Are Nonverbal Learning Disabilities the Same as Asperger’s Syndrome?
Q Question: Are nonverbal learning disabilities the same as Asperger’s syndrome? A Answer: No, but there’s a lot of overlap between and nonverbal learning disabilities (NVLD). Many experts consider them to be separate conditions that look a lot alike. Studies indicate that most children who meet the criteria for Asperger’s also meet the criteria for NVLD. But the opposite of that doesn’t appear to be true. Many children with NVLD don’t meet the criteria for Asperger’s.
