(WSAW) - A weak cold front will continue to track to the south this evening and during the overnight hours. Showers and storms on Wednesday evening produced up to golf ball size hail in the Rib Mountain area. There we dozens of reports of large hail around the Wausau area on Wednesday evening.

(WSAW) - The rest of Memorial Day will be warm, breezy, and dry. The first 90 degree day will be possible on Tuesday with isolated showers and storms. Memorial Day will be the first of many days with more Summer-like temperatures. This stretch is likely to continue through the rest of the month.

NEXT 12 HOURS: Isolated storms ending THIS WEEKEND: Warm and sunny, then storms NEXT WEEK: Potential severe weather, then cooling off WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Enjoy the warmer weather before potential severe weather arrives early next week. The rain that we do get on Friday will not be widespread enough to prevent elevated fire danger. In fact, conditions on Friday will be among our most favorable for wildfires to break out and spread this season thus far.
