What’s old is new again in Maryland, as Democratic Governor Wes Moore will face Republican Dan Cox for Governor in the November election. Moore easily won the Democratic nomination for a second term in Tuesday’s primary election, while Cox defeated businessman Ed Hale, leading 45% to 35% with almost all precincts statewide reporting at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. In 2022, Moore defeated Cox, a former state delegate, by 32-percentage points, more than doubling his vote total.
