A skills-first approach can widen the talent pool
With the Government placing renewed emphasis on economic opportunity and helping more people access work, and almost one million young people being classed as not in education, employment or training (NEET), the route into work deserves urgent attention from employers as well as policymakers. For businesses struggling to fill vacancies and close skills gaps, the NEET challenge is a talent-matching problem.
A tiny fix can ensure the college sports bill won’t damage women’s sports Original
Over the past several years, 27 states have enacted laws designating girls’ sports for female athletes only. And on June 30, the Supreme Court upheld Idaho and West Virginia laws to that effect, affirming that all such laws are constitutional and permitted under Title IX. That decision was a decisive win for advocates of these protections. Unfortunately, though, a bill making its way through the Senate threatens to undermine that win unintentionally.
The Protect College Sports Act Could Undercut Wins for Women’s Sports
The Protect College Sports Act (S. 4668) aims to set national rules for college athletics, from name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals to player transfers. These are worthwhile goals, but vague language could unintentionally undermine recent gains protecting women’s sports. Here’s the issue: a judge who wants to put men back in women’s sports might read the bill’s vague language preempting state athlete eligibility laws to erode the very laws that keep men out of women’s sports in 27 states.

100 Years After Landmark Case, Federal Programs Continue to Violate Parents' Constitutional Rights
Today, even with President Trump’s victory, leftist elites have their tentacles in every aspect of our government. The Daily Signal’s own Tyler O’Neil exposes this leftist cabal in his new book, The Woketopus: The Dark Money Cabal Manipulating the Federal Government. In this book, O’Neil reveals how the Left’s NGO apparatus pursues its woke agenda, maneuvering like an octopus by circumventing Congress and entrenching its interests in the federal government.
Supreme Court case can remove barriers to educational freedom Original
“I will always protect Oklahoma’s parents and their right to choose what is best for their child, especially when it comes to their education.” This proud statement adorned Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s Facebook page during National School Choice Week this year. Indeed, Drummond has put action behind these words, notably by supporting the right of parents to be informed by school officials if their children are struggling with their biological sex.
The Whole Room is Moving when Kaytranada's at Alexandra Palace
It’s a warm weekend in early summer, North London. Fans make the pilgrimage via the winding road up that never ending hill to the palace. The light of the day goes, but is replaced by the glisten of buildings in the city, which feels like lifetimes away. The gig reviewer ponders pretentiously, looking out over the view as he imagines how exactly he’ll romanticise going to a Kaytranada gig beyond all necessary measure.
Proposed legislation undermines parental, constitutional rights | OPINION
Colorado’s HB25-1312,“Concerning Legal Protections for Transgender Individuals,” passed the House Judiciary Committee on April 6 and was read into the Senate on April 23. But the bill has not progressed without strong opposition — and for good reason. This legislation does not protect citizens. It mandates conformity to the preferences of a few. It undermines fundamental freedoms and puts the constitutional rights of parents — and every American — at risk.

By Matt Sharp and Kate Anderson State Senate Bill 5181, a bill that jeopardizes parents’ medical decision-making authority, was recently voted out of the House Education Committee.
