The process launched by newly confirmed Attorney General Todd Blanche is a victory for Second Amendment advocates who have long pushed for nonviolent people with felony convictions to be given a pathway to regain their legal right to own firearms.

MASONBORO ISLAND, N.C. (WECT/Gray News) - Drone video appears to show hundreds, if not thousands, of sharks off the North Carolina coastline. Adam Pflum took the video Saturday morning near the coast of Masonboro Island. Pflum said the sharks were about 4 to 5 feet. The end of Pflum’s video captures what appeared to be either a manta ray or a stingray.

(CNN) - A severe storm that passed through a county in Colorado left piles of hail stones and vehicles stuck in floodwater. The storms rolled through Douglas County on Aug. 15. Between 2:30 and 4 p.m., South Metro Fire Rescue crews were called out to nine public assist calls, two water rescues, including four adults and a dog on paddleboards, and one home struck by lightning, all related to the storms. Meanwhile, public works officials used snowplows to clear piles of hail that littered the streets.

ROSEBUD, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A Rosebud man and a Parmelee woman will spend the next three decades in federal prison for the 2019 killing of a 15-year-old on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation. Dillion Millard, 27, and Charmaine Medicine, 31, were each sentenced to 30 years in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release. Both were also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
