Snowplow clears piles of hail stones from roads after severe storm
(CNN) - A severe storm that passed through a county in Colorado left piles of hail stones and vehicles stuck in floodwater. The storms rolled through Douglas County on Aug. 15. Between 2:30 and 4 p.m., South Metro Fire Rescue crews were called out to nine public assist calls, two water rescues, including four adults and a dog on paddleboards, and one home struck by lightning, all related to the storms. Meanwhile, public works officials used snowplows to clear piles of hail that littered the streets.

Rosebud Man, Parmelee woman sentenced to 30 years for 2019 murder
ROSEBUD, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A Rosebud man and a Parmelee woman will spend the next three decades in federal prison for the 2019 killing of a 15-year-old on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation. Dillion Millard, 27, and Charmaine Medicine, 31, were each sentenced to 30 years in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release. Both were also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
